+1 Yeah mine wasn't rusted bad, and I started soaking it with PB 3 days in advance. After breaking it loose I took it off and put it back on by hand. And of couse retightened with tools per the TM. Thanks to David from Scottland Neck NC for the tip!

Just changed mine this weekend without the tool. I used a pair of channel locks and a big pipe wrench, works fine. Improvise, adapt, and overcome.

Removed radiator sent it off to get repaired. Replaced all 3 belts without the special tool for the compressor. Repainted the front black and the radiator then reinstalled it. Waiting to straighten out my grill before painting and reinstalling. Removed origanal horns remounted the air solinoid...

Thanks to everyone for the input. The idea about leaving it at a gun/pawn shop close to the base is great idea that I hadn't thought of, and what I'll do if I win the auction I'm watching. Illeaglly taking it thru the gate weather knowingly or unknowingly wasn't something I wanted to find out...
