    CUCV stock power

1008 speeds up very slow and top speed is 55, I have had it up to 70 but its pretty close to red line at the speed, wouldn't recommend that for a constant speed. As far as pullin it does pretty good, had about 3500-4000 in the bed last summer it took a little longer to get to 55 but when I got...

The IP switch to electronic in 94. The transfer case is a left hand drop on the newer trucks if memory serves me correct. will need a right hand drop. Yes if you have the complete truck just use the wire harness and computer for the 6.5. Switch the cucv to 12 volt, will be much easier to...

    CUCV longevity

Yes I would agree with that, there are a few of the younger generation that do care about there vehicles, but most don't especially if they didn't pay for it, like the young men in the army.

Wait to drive - how long ?

Interesting..........never heard of wet stacking. I have been driving truck for ten years now and never heard of that. So what you would do for a truck that has to idle for long periods, lets say for instance its below 10 degrees. Most diesels won't start without being plugged in or having...

    CUCV longevity

I believe they were phased out early because the fact you put a 19-20 year old kid behind the wheel with no commonsense and ya sure it will get destroyed. But lets take a look at the civilian modal, most of them are only a 3/4 ton but yet you still see a lot of them on the road, ya they may be...

Wait to drive - how long ?

In the summer I start it up let it idle for a minute or two and then go, if its below 35 I let it idle for 10-30 minutes depending on how cold it is especially if its below 0!
