I am having the same problem....I pulled my starter and had it checked.....it's weak. I dont get it either.

One more thought, i bought a regular civ car battery to replace the old mil battery. it's a 12v 1000 starting amp battery......Does it really matter?

This problem seems to be going around. As with my starting problem, while driving and the heater fan on high, headlights on, I get a faint gen1 light that goes away when I turn the fan down. The belts also squeel a little during acceleration, and then goes away after reaching a cruise speed.

Thanks all....I'll check everything again before I start throwing money/parts at the problem. After that...she's goin on the auction block. It's a great truck, has the standard rust....great drive train and engine ( when it runs ).....Dont have the time or money to fix everything..... Thanks...

One other note.....when you turn key to "on", I dont hear the click from under the dash. Normal lights come on, "wait" light stays on.....still no crank. When the key is turned to "start", you can see the engine turn very slowly.

I tried to jump it with same result. The only thing I can think of is the battery I replaced is a commerical battery. Same volts/amps as the old one. Both batteries are showing 12.5 volts each.....

I am having the same problem. Turn the key, click....checked batteries....replaced starter solenoid...still nothing. One thing I did notice, the "wait" stays on forever.....

I had the same problem....Then the spring broke and when you turn the wipers on.....it sprays water all the time. LOL

Howdy all, Looking for an overdrive unit for my M-1009. I looked at gear vendors, but I'm on a budget....Anyone know when I could get an overhauled unit??
