    Thanks for all the help guys!! New GP controler card and removed the 12/24 resistor. Runs like a champ. Think I've got all the electrical bugs worked out.....cross your fingers!!

    I am having the SAME problem with my 1009. It runs fine....but after a while ( this is with the lights and what not turned on ).....the seat belt light comes on. I have changed several items. Guess I'll try yet another battery.....Good luck as well Haggis

    Howdy all, I'm still having some electrical issues. Both alternators have been re-worked, checked good and autozone. batteries check good at 12.3v prior to starting. Cranks right up, Gen 1 light stays on, Gen 2 light goes out. Measured voltage at front battery. Shows rapid discharge...

    Did your new toy come with any log books?? If your bird had a Navy Bureau number ( the 155 # ) It should have the old Navy log books with it. That would shed some light as to where it had been.while in the Marines.

    On the subject of batteries..... Which commercial batterys are best for these old mil trucks? I installed two 12v 800 amp duralast batteries. The truck just eats them up ( Front battery only ).

    Painting M1009

    I have changed my weather stripping on my hard top with the LMC kits. Good stuff. The only problem....the rear window outer seal doesnt excatly fit. Other than that...well worth the cash and effort to keep the hard top from leaking.
