I agree Eldgen, I can't stand when people bash modification in the modification forum, if you are a purist then just don't read this forum.
However if we all held our tongue then the forum would be utterly useless because you would never get an honest opinion.
I love HEMTT's would I modify...
You should probably look at vehicle registration, insurance, heavy use tax, etc. before attempting a M920...
That being said I don't think even Soni wants to know what he spent on the RV...
It is awesome though.
I don't understand I never said I bought it on a whim...
I said leaving on a whim, meaning the EUC could take from 9-60 days to clear and then I have 10 days to fetch is leaving a whim. We have to put leave in the books months in advance, finding out today I need to be in AL the following week...
Alright totally screwed up my math for my trip to the DMV.
I'm reading the regs now but when she told me the registration was $1000+ I chocked and made her re-check. Turns out the Terms GVW and GCVW are the same thing in ND. Which means my M915A1 is now registered at 62000 vs its max. The...

I could have saved on filters, however common sense tells me if there are no fluids in it... might as well change...
Well I put together a running tally of expenditures for tax purposes. And I figured perhaps if I shared my info others might not be so bid happy.
Now I'm not upset at all, would I do it over again...probably. Considering what I got, I don't think it's that bad.
Also some of the items on my...
By no means would it be a drop the hammer and not look back tow. Like was mentioned by Floridianson, it will be like bobtailing and pulling a full load on in a dolly set up. Adding weight over the tandems is ideal, like the tru-hitch James runs.
Like I said I would do it yes, but there are...
Provided the breaks work on the M920, I wouldn't hesitate to do it. The truck is rated for it.
James has used his Tru-hitch with one I believe...
Keep in mind you can't just flat tow an M920, you need to disconnect the drive shafts.
You can read about most of it at Streamlined Sales & Use tax project. However right now you would have to look up your state tax laws as the there is no governing federal law as to the internet tax as of yet.
Remember it is the responsibility of the consumer to pay sales tax, in fact many...
