I agree completely with my fellow Kansan... all the way down to rolling out the welcome mat. Grab a thread and enjoy, I am sure it has been addressed before. Glen
I knew where there were several sets, the guy would not sell me anything. I stood by and watch those deuces and the M1009s get turned into baled metal to be exported and there was not a thing I could do about it. He wanted 4,000 dollars for a deuce that had a tank full of moss, it went too. He...
I wish I had a source for a couple of fenders. I would get the pillar fixed, you can still see the folded lines in the cab cover. It does not appear faded out any either, several of the tires are new Titans and the spare still has the sticker on it. I am wondering if they had it inside a...
At the end of June, first week of July, we bought three deuces at Riley. I managed to get two running.

I bought a 24 M and a 24 F yesterday at Walmart and escaped for under 200 with core charge. They fit under the original battery tie down and have 750 cold cranking amps. By using the combination, you can still use the short cable between batteries. I plan to shim the outside (end to end) of them...
You need to hook up with Gimpy Robb! He can school you on deuces and he can also give you some spectacular driving lessons. Welcome to the forums! Glen
I had the same problem when I used the 3/8ths hose on my first M1008 and it was sucking the hose flat, effectively shutting down the fuel in one of the bends. I finally cured it by sliding the hose into a section of heat shrink, then shrinking the heat shrink on the hose with a heat gun. It...
I had some kind of fish grab my right nipple and give it a good twisting and shaking. After slapping the water, I about died laughing at myself. I swam around for a few minutes and was just standing about shoulder deep, when the left nipple got attacked. It was not nearly as rough as the first...
I asked the DLA the same thing. They had to be tested for radioactive instruments. It looks like they could unplug the gauges instead of butchering the wiring harness.
More photos.....
Thanks PB, the day got even better! I loaded up the pups and we went back to the sand pit for another swim. It sure felt good! That blue, blue water in the background makes for a nice back drop for the deuce. I took a couple of the mutts and the left over sealer mess. Glen
The first week in July we picked up three deuces at Riley. I recovered one and have everything fixed except the fuel gauge. Today I got the second one rolling around town!
I hate to admit this, but am going to share as it may save somebody else grief down the line. They cut the instrument...
It always runs cool and holds great oil pressure. I knew the fuel rate must be fairly high, but the thing will get over 12 mpg running empty on the road at around 48 mph. For what it was pushing and the power it is producing, I decided to leave well enough alone. Heck, it made right at 11...
The postman asked me who Buddy Gunner was, that is my Facebook account in which I used my dog's name due to employment issues. He recognized Buddy from multiple meetings in the neighborhood. I really like driving that truck.... but the 550 mile trip to do so will keep me out of the driver's...
