I dropped my pan due to a leaking gasket, the previous owner had the truck for 3 years and never changed the oil, the pan and lower end were almost spotless when I dropped it
well after the storms that just ripped through the States I'm sure there will be a premium for gensets for the rest of winter then followed by a lull until the first hurricane of the season in the south$$
When my genset batts sparked when I hooked up the batts I went and pulled off the capacitor because from reading past post the sparking was bad only to find out recently that it was suppose to do that ( thanks PeterD ) however my capacitor is still disconnected and my genset DC system is still...
Did you check the fuse holder? My fuse was good but the spring wire inside the fuse holder was bad and not making contact with the fuse, Just throwing it out there
Thats the correct way to install it, could be something wrong with cylinder.

I got my M-37 seat covers from New life years ago and they were great
I got my current deuce seats from Fred at Adirondack Dodge ( $145.00 4pc )
Only the color isn't what I expected. I like them but not what I'm use to.
P.S. Karl I'll get some updated deuce pic's to you soon
I thought we were talking about highway driving not cross country becuse CC driving is the only way any of this would be a issue. Short of pouring cloraxx under the tires ( or iced road ) I seriously doubt you could get the deuces tires to spin on a prepared surface even with the intermediate...
With my first deuce, 52mph seems to be the sweet spot to where I get 10mpg on the highway. If I was to take one on a 990mile trip again ( NOT!) I would pull the intermediate driveshaft connecting to two rear diffs and I'm sure milage would increase
Sounds like the v-lipped seal on the piston is bad
If you can't find it from one of the venders mentioned then check e-pay ( "M35A2") as I see them on there all the time
As mentioned getting it off with out dropping the transfercase is a bit tricky
For reference, heres a picture of the piston...
I have no intention of moving the reg but I was thinking of tying in the capacitor to that harness wire that runs under the cowl that it would normaly attach to at the term block
"A quick spark when connecting is normal, that's the capacitor charging."
Heck I thought that was bad when it sparked
Is it possible to put the capacitor back on further down the line being I have the A.S.K back on makes it a PITA to remove it all again to get back to the regulator
Ok
I found a old cheapy analog meter I had in my truck so I tested the capaciter and it spiked and then went to open so I put everything back together which included my new to me stator and a NOS Volt reg ( sandblasted and painted the blower while it was off ) went to hook up the batt and it...
Acually its very good at least according to this independent test.
I use "Stanadyne Jr" but the 2 stroke is slightly better however the "Jr" is cheaper

I have never seen any reference to a M-37 ever having this type of pump
Looks more like a pressure relief valve on top then a port
It might/maybe be for a civilian 230ci but its not gonna be for the Military 230. The mil 230 oil pump is unique as it has a offset slot in the end of the shaft...
Heck I just used fuel hose for my resevoir
I know with Dot 3 fluid it would not work but my system is Dot 5, however I did soak a piece of the hose in Dot 5 for over 3 months and it was fine so I used it and no problems to date
M-37 tranny will bolt up being both early m-37 and later B1 ( NP420 ) trannies were syncro'ed in 3rd & 4th gear however you'd probably have to cut the tranny floor pan to get the shift tower to fit and if it was mine I personally could not bring myself to do that, Half the fun of these old...
I've used all kinds of pumps in the 27 years I was in the fuel tank cleaning business ( mostley yachts but did a fair share of underground tanks also ).
The best lifting pump I used was my pneumatic diapham pumps ( 1" and 2" models ) but they draw alot of CFM to work, I've also seen gas powered...
