    WC-51 Restoration or Bust!!

Back to the project today. Started with cleaning all the sandblasted combat wheels and then applying primer. With the rims being 65 years old, it has taken a lot of work but I sprayed the first one OD to see how it will look. The next shots will be an assembled new 9.00x16 NDT on the painted...

    Progressive Insurance on a deuce.

All my insurance has been with USAA for over 40 years. When I wanted to add my deuce two years ago, they had the policy underwritten by Progressive for $460 per year. While I did not me "Flo" yet, I am satisfied with the policy.

    WC-51 Restoration or Bust!!

After a full day of cutting, grinding, welding patches and, what I am sure is a pending case of black lung, I removed the pipe bumper and temporarily installed the WC-51 bumper. Not purty yet but I promise it will be when done. This one is for your Panshark!!!!

    WC-51 Restoration or Bust!!

I have cut off the heavy pipe that had been welded on the frame ends and am now prepping it to accept the original bumper supports that I obtained from Midwest Military. I have the used bumper and original tow hooks so it should be back to original soon. Removing the heavy welds without doing...

    WC-51 Restoration or Bust!!

Today was a good day and I didn't even go to the shop. When I purchased my WC-51, it did not have a title as it has been a "ranch truck" as far back as I can research. In Texas, the county tax collector/DMV chief, can conduct a hearing and award a Court Ordered Title based on certain...

Working on and off this week so the progress made is..... Got the flathead fired up and she ran pretty good. Comfortable that no significant issues exist and will pull the engine shortly and my mechanic friend will help me overhaul it to make sure everything is up to snuff. Got my gas tank...

    WC-51 12V Question

My WC-51 has a 12V system and there is a starter solenoid mounted on the drivers side inner fender. There is nothing wire to the solenoid and the vehicle starts and runs without it. Any idea why it is there? I do not see it included in the TM wiring diagram.

Steve us good. I am sure he will. Periodically I use a pencil eraser and clean the contacts on the headset plugs and the control boxes. Good luck.
