I need help removing my axle seal

Then take the "spongy" one down and tell them you want one like that, with the ability to be submersed in diesel.

Anyone know what this part is?

I have that piece from a donor Deuce I got my hardtop from. This piece was on top of the bottom flange of the hardtop, sandwiching the hardtop between it and the cab tub. I'll wager it's a re-enforcement for the hardtop's thin sheet metal.

Took the Deuce to work today

I would love to drive my Deuce to work someday. I work with a lot of Veterans, most of them know about the Deuce, my activities with the Club, and have asked me to bring it in. There would be plenty of conversation, however there isn't a parking place big enough to keep it in all day, and...

Drive it before I mod it

Download them to your hard drive, print what you need to do a task. TM's are located under the Resources tab. Your S3 might find them obsolete.

Drive it before I mod it

Best thing you've said yet. Buy it first, play with it for awhile and then make a determination on what you want to do. 5th gear in a Spicer 3053 is already an overdrive gear.

Can anyone tell me what batterys should be in my 71 deuce

I'm confused, does it have an in-tank lift pump, or an external? You say you can't hear the in-tank pump, but you repaired the wiring on the external one. What do you have?? What do you have to do to make it start? Have you downloaded the Operator's Manual yet? The troubleshooting Manuals? They...

I need help removing my axle seal

Take the pump out of the tank, remove the hose, take to NAPA (or other parts house of choice), ask them to sell you one just like it. Reverse order to complete repairs.

Who here has used or owns a "Lugwrench"?

 Tighten the lug nuts to spec, then paint a line from one side of the nut to the other passing over the end of the stud. A quick glance on a pre-op inspection tells you right away if your nuts need to addressed or not. A few Members in the Club painted their nuts black and handpainted a...

    Buyer Beware with GL Auctions

Not to start a GL bashing thread, but when I went to pick up my Deuce at Ft. Carson, the GL employee pointed to one of two Deuces present, and said that one is yours. I had all my paperwork with me and immediately checked the serial numbers on the frames and dashboard dataplates. I informed him...
