What did you do to your deuce this week?

I've tried adjusting air pressure, that didn't seem to work. Gonna try this and see. A Club Member fashioned a toe in/out checker out of PVC, I'm going to copy it and check my front end. I'll let you know.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I tinkered around all week after work on the Deuce. I installed an interior armor light in the cab, and re-installed the gauge panel for my boost and pyro. The boost gauge was operational for the event this weekend, but the pyro was not. Installing the pyro pre-turbo is a little more work than a...

    M109A4 brakes locked up!

In my humble opinion, not real good. I think I would put that towards the end of the troubleshooting list. Between SS, the Club's talent, and a TM or two, we'll get Mactiredearg back on the road again.

    Manifold Flame Heater Parts

I think Jay at Saturn Surplus had parts for flame heaters at one time. If you can't find one, I wrapped mine up on the old Deuce with some good Scotch 33, didn't look too bad.

Replaced fuel filters but need to prime

Just a suggestion, turn the accessory switch on first, then open the bleeder screw. This way you're in control of the fuel flow, and you won't be shooting fuel all over until you get to the bleeder screw. Just my 2cents.

    Headlight issue

Another item to keep in mind as you troubleshoot is the dimmer switch. I would check wiring, lamps, grounds, and voltages first though.

Okay I got the Crown Nut off now what does it take to get the Lunette out? (photos)

After you get the lunette out, clean up all contact surfaces and threads with a wire bush and coat liberally with Never-Seize before re-installing. It will pop right out next time you want to remove it.

A restoration of my Deuce witha tip of the hat to vietnam

I remember reading here a few years back Aervoe OD paint was turning a nasty shade of pink after it had been applied and exposed to the sun for awhile. I haven't heard if they ever corrected this problem. Some others may chime in with more knowledge than I on that subject. Glad you found the...

    Calling all Generator Owners

The first thing that came to mind was: Download the proper TM for you new machine. Next was: Go completely through the fuel system, clean and change fuel, oil, and air filters, and tighten all fittings. And then: Inspect, and then inspect some more, and when you get done with that, inspect...

A restoration of my Deuce witha tip of the hat to vietnam

Google David Doyle, he has written a publication on proper paint numbers for that era. There has been many arguments on what is correct, and what is incorrect.

Can't understand why someone would want to weld the lunette in place. That big nut and rust will keep it in there forever.
