Bow Storage
Here is a pic of a bow corner strap and it looks very much like the one on the bottom of my dropside bed which happens to be in a "snowbird" friends garage for the winter, but I didn't get a chance to go look closely at it today. Only the hole in the metal end may be a little bigger...

Paul, I think the strap part is the same as the strap attached to the bow corners for securing the sides of the top when rolled up. I'm not sure about the other part.

Off the wall thought, but does that engine have rotating lifters? If so, perhaps the cyclical nature of the noise could be caused by a bad spot on one that comes around every so often.

Edit: Had lifters on the brain. Meant rotating valves as in the exhaust valves of some older Ford 8N's and...
Lee, it's been a while since I had mine apart and sort of figured out what it did, but basically, through the action of the big air operated cylinder, the push rod with cups etc. on the brake fluid side(front of the airpack), it has a great multiplying effect on the pressure to the brake...
