    question about dropping oil pressure

RE: Hmm Don't forget that you can put in a mechanical gauge to check on your electrical one. Mine showed 30-35psi at all engine RPM's .Put in a mechanical gauge and got 30- 35 at idle and got 70psi cold and 60psi hot most any RPM higher than idle. Food for thought. BC

    Rod bearings, failure mode

I'll move my question to here that I asked before in another thread. " Speaking of rod noise etc; I can find oil clearance #s for the main bearing journals and bearings, but not for the rod bearing journals and bearings. The TM gives the acceptable journal measurements for the various crank...

    Crane Ideas?

Hey 73m819, Do you know from experience that an ammo loader will fit under the cargo cover? Mine is not installed yet, but I seem to recall measuring it back in the fall and finding it was taller by a couple of inches than the top bows. Could be bad memory or bad measuring, but as a carpenter I...

    M135 Transmission

My friend Jim was driving his M135 with REB kit today and had been about 20-25 miles already when it suddenly decided not to go into 3rd or 4th so he went the rest of the way home in 2nd. Seemingly had been working well, had just pulled a fairly long hill in 3rd at about 30-35 MPH, stopped at an...

    Underside of dropside bed

Barrman, all the hardware, pins, latches etc are in good shape. I even have the braces in the rear stakes that hook into the bed when the tailgate is down. The bed had been sitting with one side down on the ground for some time so that side was rusted quite a bit. Also, a couple of the boxed...

    Underside of dropside bed

Hey Paul, it was quite an operation. I had a friend of mine put it upside down on a tandem axle lowbed which we had to push into the garage by hand because the fenders hit the garage door weatherstripping on both sides. Had less than 1" total clearance. Then jacked it off the trailer and...

    Underside of dropside bed

After using all the derusting tools in the arsenal, and priming with Red Rustoleum and to avoid expensive paint, shipping, hazmat fees, etc, I painted the finish coat using a Sherwin Williams anti rust enamel. Took one adjustment to the formula to get a color that was a good match. Problem was I...

Ventilated Multifuel engines, Turbo or Non-Turbo?

Bearing sets Bjorn, if you happen to start shopping for bearing sets would you mind keeping me posted? Haven't done much shopping myself, but so far have $275.00 for "most main bearing sets" and $155.00 for "most connecting rod bearing sets". People are picking up engines for a little more than...
