    You are right. It is just that I don't itemize my labor when I am working on a hobby. All as I know is that I used this technique to fill 28 holes in a truck firewall and it came out great. But then again, I had the welder and the copper plate.

    I would use a MIG welder and back each hole with a copper or aluminium plate and fill the holes, grind and paint. It will be the best and easiest solution. Get your $70 bucks back.

    Thanks Steel. I know the hinges are canted and it would sure be nice to know how the guberment installed them.

    I am re-installing the hood on my deuce and I forgot which way the hinges are positioned. I am not sure whether the two prong portion of the hinge is on the cowl or hood side. I have attached a picture on my hinge as currently installed. Would someone please check their deuce and let me know...

    Ever use QuikSteel??

    Never used Quicksteel but I have used JB Weld quite a bit. Just make sure you apply it to bare metal. Good luck.
