The blueprints supplied with my kit showed the hole for the nozzle centered on the cowl and 2.5 inches from the bottom of the winshield. I just installed mine last night, I think I bought it from Ace Draven about 4 or 5 years ago. I will do the wet-test tonight, and report back. I also didn't...
I have forgotten a few times to secure the spring latches on both sides of the hood, luckily the safety latch worked in my favor. The hood bounce is a dead giveaway that something is about to go very wrong. :oops:
Yeah, Take the nut off the bottom of the hinge bolt, install mirror bracket assembly, re-install nut, tighten accordingly.
I beat on those hinge bolts until I was blue in the face, then I figured there was more than one way to skin a possum.
I'm OK with that install, your results may vary.
The numbers should be on the trailer end, near where they come out of the cable and become singular wires. There should also be a small holder with spring clips to hold the individual connectors. You can see this by crawling under the trailer.

Chuck, It's been a long time since I've followed this thread, I'm glad it came back up to the top again. Any line on price and availability on the fiberglass doors? I still might try and seperate the halves of mine and re-work them, like I spoke of in a previous post. :)
Just grabbin' at straws here, after doing your horn kit, did you re-make the connection at the bottom of the steering column? That would be your ground to your horn solenoid. Also, using your meter, test continuity from chassis ground to the wire that goes up the column, while pressing the horn...
