Pics and description
The project took lots of trial and error so I'm not sure if these pics are the final version or not, but you will get the idea.
Pic 0044 shows flat stock over the brace from firewall to dash. Glove box will slide back in and clear it whereas if I recall correctly bolt heads...
RE: heater
I got the idea from looking in some A3's at a local Guard outfit. Their heater is congigured a little differently but I took the idea and ran with it. I don't have all the metal fabbing gear that some of you guys have, so I had to use off the shelf angle iron, flat stock, threaded...
To any of you that have radios installed in your Deuce, M37 etc.; did you install any sort of protected power source, ie fused, surge or drop protected etc? Inquiring mind wants to know.

RE: Personel heater
BFR, the heater is tucked up under the dash pretty well and does not interfere with footroom.
davemccoull, the intake hose is left off at least for now. Plenty of fresh air gets into the cab so no worries about bad air!! You have to turn the distribution box around because...
Whatever you do, I would think that the least amount of wood surface area on the inside(underside) of the canvas would be best. The canvas should be able to "breathe" as much as possible from both sides.
Hey Longhunter7,
I have an Emglo compressor approx the same size for my nail guns ets. Once in a while on a job I use it to set a bunch of lag bolts with a 1/2 inch impact wrench. It will set several 3or 4 inch and then you have to wait for it to build up pressure again. It will only do a couple...
RE: Re: RE: Rod bearings
The oil sample went in the mail today because my local NAPA didn't have any of the kits in stock Mon. AM.
The lady at the PO mumbled something about Priority planes won't be flying Wed. and Fri.but I only sent it 1st class, so I don't know what the heck she was trying...
RE: Re: RE: Rod bearings
Thanks all! Tomorrow if it isn't raining again, I'll be doing more diagnostics. Going to pull the valve covers off to see if anything weird is going on in there that might be causing the noise, but I really don't think there is. Will also be listening with a stethoscope...
I suspect my multifuel engine in my Deuce has very early rod bearing troubles, although I can't exactly pinpoint the noise yet. It does quiet down a little with full oil pressure however. My ? is, what is the best TM to use for procedure and specs etc. Also, any helpful tips and tricks would be...
RE: m35a2 won
One friendly piece of advice Bassariscus. I had a total electrical shutdown with a rather large pop one day on a test drive after I flushed the cooling system. Got home and started the seek and ye shall find scattergun approach to fixing it and didn't get anywhere. Finally took...
RE: m35a2 won
Did you ever check the major ground to the frame behind the battery box? This can be intermittent and may give you one hell of a scare if it ever arcs sometime when you hit the starter button, just ask Wallew!!!
Right and left stencil
After viewing the above pics again I noticed that the same stencil is used on both sides of the truck. The"bees" weapon is pointing forward on the drivers side of the truck and rearward on the passenger side. When I got my stencils from Rick Larson I got a left and a...
