I had the same thought. Seems this would be a perfect training exercise for a local NG unit to practice rigging and heavy hauling. Kill 2 birds with one stone. (no birds where harmed in the posting of this message)
Well I found the failure in my original pump. Actually I had a double failure. Not only did the bottom come off the pump section, same as many other members have experienced, but also the magnetic coupling magnet on the bottom of the motor fell off. This explains why after fixing the pump...

I know exactly what you mean. There was a very good reason I never owned a car or pickup with a manual trans. Spending 10 ~ 14 hours a day in one of these the last thing I wanted see when I got in my pickup was manual gear shift. Although I will say I did enjoy the time and experience.

For some strange reason they mounted the axle breather right on top of the axle housing. Because of this location if you drive in water that covers the axle housing it will enter into the housing. I am relocating mine to the frame rail. Easy to do with a couple fittings and hose from the local...
I'm kind of partial to the brown that Parker2 has. Nice understated color. When I use to go to the local DQ there was a fellow that painted his anglia primer gray and satin top coat. Looked good but not shiny .
