MEP-003 freq meter goes from 0 to full scale and back to 0 as unit starts, stays at 0 while in operation. same when shut down so i assume the transducer has failed. has anyone else had this happen?

For what is worth, i have seen a couple burned 802's and heard of others. While servicing one of mine it developed a fuel leak in the hose that is the return line from the injector pumps up to the injectors and back to the fuel tank. This is 4mm hose and when examined, it is rotten and cracked...
Located on the left side of the voltage regulator, there is a large fuse holder. Apparently most do not have this fuse. Unfortunately it is missing and I can find no info in the manuals about what amperage fuse it takes.
Hopefully someone else has a set with this fuse and can read the specs from...

i built this truck a few years ago out of mostly new parts. the pictures have been compiled and posted to part of my web site. a lot of them are of the original build and a few like the heat and a/c are later. since it has all 3 air locking axles i got a new data plate for a m-621 and call it a...
has anyone else had problems with interstate 6TL batteries? in the past they lasted for 5 - 6 years for me. in the past 2 years they do not last over 1 year even with light use.

hi, being a m-35 person, i only know the m-1009 from a distance. but i do know of most of it's civilian counter parts weaknesses. so, is it possible to find one with NO rust around the edges of things??

some had speculated that mounting an a/c compressor on the deuce would be rather difficult. almost finished, i can say that it was surprisingly simple. still need to make rear brace, but have template made so just have to shape the 5/16 plate and drill holes.
update, compressor finished...
so there is a snap ring on the front of the water pump shaft. should i assume the pulley is on the shaft with a key and will just pull right off?? has any one taken one off before? i'm going to make a custom pulley to drive an a/c compressor.....

several data plates i have say the same thing, 32 qts for cooling system. drained rad and block, no heater, will only hold 22 qts. where does the other 10 qts go?
so i finally had time to do a definative mileage test. something scientific, no guess work like how full the tank is.
around town 30 - 35 mph stop and go, 7 to 8 mpg
varying traffic 48 to 52 mph, 10 mpg
steady 45 mph rolling hills, 12 mpg
steady 55 mph rolling hills, 12 mpg
loaded with 8,000...
