While the little newer ADIS system the DRS - dry reservoir system has been out even longer. He might have that type.
Both air dryers are good systems and installed before any air tank. Would say most OTR trucks or any air brake truck would have one or the other system installed. Even some of the...
Well sometimes it's nice to be the first but in this case not so much. Just going to have to replace the whole fuel control unit assembly. Yea phone calls so much easier than typing. Glad you found it.
Correct old systems wet tank . Newer systems no wet tank and air dryer between compressor and first air tank. Called ADIS and it's just plumb up as per instructions. My 1992 M915A2 has the ADIS system so they have been in using on air brake systems for decades. Also no liquid alcohol in system...
Yep OP is on target now. When removing just the Head the red / scribe on Head is all we have to line up with pointer. The advance unit will not quite be on it's mark and HB will be a good bit off too. Only have to worry about HB and advance window lining up is when we check timing of the whole...
Been awhile but. Make sure you have a air cut off valve to the unit starting at the tap. It was said run the regulator wide open so it that's true you do not need the regulator. Instead install small water catch type of filter set up.
Same here Woodbridge Chrysler Plymouth. Best thing was girlfriend father owned the dealership so the girlfriend got a new loner every month. So yea got to drive all the 70's different Mopar muscle cars. So me glad I started with cars.
Myself on the head gasket I would go with new and hope you...
Is that a Chinese reproduction. The only reason I ask is there are 87 of them available. Some have bought the ones from China and had no problem with them.
Thanks I will look over the form again. As for being inspected I would get pulled over maybe once a month in Va. checked for over weight and safety inspection. Hauled tonnage from the quarry in 1981 for 5 years. Never failed safety inspection but plenty of over weight. This thread is getting...
Hope I do not get into more trouble. Yea when I sanded plowed and salted the roads in Va. that might take it's toll on the cans or damage from stones or backing up then we need to worry. Same as OTR trucks running where there might be salt on the road or damage from road like hitting something...
Yea I still operate a class 8 and would like to know. Been looking through the Federal Regulations till my eyes hurt and nothing on replacing the diaphragm once a year. Best thing you can do for a Deuce is check / clean you compressor air filter and install an air dryer. Water and oil will take...
Yea believe it is higher than 60 psi. So with the over pressure built into the secondary fuel filter it would only open if the was an over pressure in the system while at higher RPM. Not when shutting down because at idle we have only 30 psi and the system bleeds off through the over flow valve...
Graingers has them in packs of ten. Believe the part numbers are closer to the end of the thread. (2) Engine Wont Run After Setting Up For 2 YEARS. | Page 3 | SteelSoldiers
Hope he will be ok as it is not looking good for that area. Me pretty far inland from both coast lines but yea winds and rain for me. Got the main sail down and batten down the hatches is about all I can do. Plenty of water and food on hand and 8K light tower Gen. ground hooked up and ready to...
I have owned plenty of 809 series trucks and never done the air cut off mod. Just said how it was done. Now you have to remember when off roading with the sprag working do not roll backwards while in any forward gear or neutral. Also do not roll forward while in reverse gear. This will lock up...
Yes just by having an air switch or cutting off the air to the poppet valve. There is the rubber air line that goes from the passenger frame rail to the poppet valve on the Trans. If you do a switch valve you want to make sure the Transfer case air cylinder does not have any air held in forward...
