Well I screwed up big time. Much to my dissapointment Idaho Motor Pool is located on Interstate 84. I thought they were up on Interstate 90. I will be going through Spokane into the panhandle onward into Montana. Lance I apologize for the mistake. I had my camera charged for your pictures and...
Hey Lance, If they will let me do you want me to take a few pictures? If you already have some ...well never mind. But I can do that if you like. Let me know. Iam departing at 4am or so Thursday morn... Al..
I'll be going right past Idaho motor pool. I was thinking of stopping for a stretch break. Anything I should look for, be aware of ect...
About all I need right now is a passenger running board and mounting brackets... I manage to bend them up off-road. It was accidental of course, Oregon mud is...
I was thinking about welding up an A frame that has a telescoping rail up top to move the tranny back and forth. Probably need to install a leveling mechanism to keep the angle correct.. But for 90 some odd bucks? Sounds worth it...
Yes, I am glad... I wanted to drive it today but never made it home last night... Convincing girlfriend.... I used a cherry picker inside the passenger door. I used an engine leveler bolted to the tranny cover to give it the right angle. Pretty much went right in. The engine leveler was rubbing...
Despite the heat, wrong parts ordered ect I put my 69 duece clutch and transmission back in yesterday. Lots of stuff to correct along the way. Floorpan bent up under gas pedal not giving me enough pedal travel, clutch clevis pin had nothing retaining it from falling out, Throttle pivot 3 threads...
My 69 M35A2 clutch started slipping awhile back. I finally removed the transmission and pulled said clutch. Sure enough lots of wear and oil. I have ordered M715 and m35 parts from Saturn before and after finding the best prices there again I placed an order for the parts from there internet...
Just a quick note on saturn surplus. Apparently there are two types of clutches. One has a three finger pressure plate and one has four fingers. I needed the four finger set up. I ordered and received the three finger PP. It looks like I am the one who made the mistake. Saturn surplus is paying...
Anybody got any good suggestions for removing the pilot bushing? I have tried the grease trick which has never worked for me. I have a slick pilot bushing slide hammer but the arms are to short... Made for small cars/motors...
Will do... I hope by pure luck my parts will arrive by friday for a weekend install. I would love to have it running again. Then again I want to strip and repaint the floor pans too...
I'll see...
I finially got around to pulling my transmission last weekend. Despite 103 degree heat I got most of it done in the early hours. Sure enough the disc is very worn along with the pressure plate. Heavy wear on the pressure plate surface. I did find one bolt missing from the driveline and the other...

Well, the zone is down every now and then for changes and maintenance. It was changed to a new site a while back. It is so much better now.
There will be a few more changes coming. We all just met in Kentucky. I did not know anyone and had an absolute blast. We had live oppossums tossed into...
Oh yea... The manuals, DUH! <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_blush.gif" alt="Blush"> Another case of type before think. Thanks. I will do some reading.....
I was wondering about the designations for dueces. What makes it an M35A1 or A2? The C designation is for a long bed right? Is there a website I can read up and learn this stuff?

Here is a guy named Lanny. He was giving it his best when he tore out a front drivers valve stem. Eventually the tire went flat and unseated off the bead. It took several hours to deal with it as he had no spare. <img...
DR, I sure wish I had posted something ahead of time. I did not think to.. My bad!!! It would have been great to meet you. The group is already trying to find next years spot. It was a total blast. Between one of the guys throwing a live possum in a couples tent and filling his coffee pot chock...
I wish I could afford another M715. Thats just about what I would do to it. I was going to drop a 455, lift, boggers, and a 205 but decided to go all stock. No regrets, but I wish I had a thrasher....
