Ha ha!! Train horns I wish. Every May we have a 4x4 event up in our local woods. There is this one guy that has train horns on his truck. You can hear him for miles. It is a crack up.
Thanks for the tip on those fittings. Still not sure where to tap into. I have not had time to look more on...
Thank you very much for the part and the info Joe. I'll look again at my CD. I could not find the schematic before. I can't believe they ever put that tiny litle electric horn in a rig so loud. I'll fix that..LOL..
Happy new year!! I have the little bleet bleet baby jeep horn in my duece. I swear when the engine is idleing you can't hear it. I found some air horns off of who knows what. I found a solenoid for an air horn setup from a m35a2 application. My question is do I need to regulate the air pressure...
I have state Farm. 9.00 bucks a month limited use. They never check and I drive it frequently. My M715, my CJ-5 and the duece are limited use. For anyone out there without insurance... DON'T DO IT!!!!! Get insurance even to move it. In 1986 I hit three cars in my CJ with no insurance and it...
Thats the kind of answer I was hoping for. Thanks Mike!! After looking again it all makes sense now. I had an idea but was wrong on a couple things. Thanks for clearing it up Mike!!
I looked for the answer but must ask for help. I bought a winter front for my duece and it came with a hardware kit but no instructions.
Enclosed is a pic of the above mentioned hardward kit. I would like to get his installed correctly. Every pic I find is only the parts presented in an...
I'll check the local Napa for the algae stuff. Does anybody know where to get the front cold weather covers? I was thinking about sewing one up out of camo pack cloth to attach with buckles. But I am short on time. I used to make stuff sacks and camping bags, plus I have not tried the sewing...
I looked around a bit but didn't see much. I did learn that the stainless brackets on my firewall were probably the ether cold start setup. I also am missing the canister. My question is what should I do for cold weather operation. I live in the pacific Northwest so our winters are pretty mild...
I know Lee pretty well. He was at the 2004 FE gathering with his truck. I was extremely impressed with the construction and modifications. It still looks stock, but performs way better. Incredible rig!!!
I'm sure he would help anyone attempting to do the same type of work.
Absolutely everything was rebuilt approx 5-6 months ago. I did the air pack with the help of the manual. They worked well through all that time. Some freeway miles and it acted up...
Last sunday I did 120 miles in the duece. Went to a Veterans memorial hiway convoy run sporting flags along with 150-200 other rigs. I even won a first place ribbon even though other rigs were nicer. Doing a bumper to bumper convoy down a 40 mile hiway, I noticed eventually I had no power and a...
Hey thanks LH7!!!
I thought so. Thanks for confirming. I have poked in here once in awhile. I try to get here as much as possible. Been working on many jeeps at home. I'm rebuilding a 79 CJ 5 for a high school buddy as a surprise and a thank you for introducing me to this off-road thing 20+...
I did a search and didn't find much. I just got a new bridge plate and wanted to know what the correct numbers to display were. So far it looks like 0 8 unloaded. Is this correct? I've got a veterans memorial run this Sunday and I want to install it before then.
Thx... Al..
