Wes,
I have limited room to actually store them, but James has almost unlimited room for tire storage for a reasonable amount of time. Moving them will be a chore if they are large tires. I will see if he chimes in here shortly.
Larry finally answered me back & he says that technically...
Sorry about leaving the trailer with you for so long, but the same time I had planned to come get it, I developed Tachycardia which shut me down from a 400+ mile drive in the Deuce. I'll get Wes to leave you a case of Natural lite for all your help with that trailer. Hope it didn't kill to much...
I tried putting a call & text for Larry to allow an inspection today, but he is not answering his phone for some reason. Will try again tomorrow. The pictures of the truck from GP are pretty self explanatory about the trucks condition. The only negative I saw was the bathtub in the roof full of...
I will get with him tomorrow to see if he can bring the truck to the staging area to look @. To actually pick it up, James or I will need the release form signed as to who picks it up & the rest of the paperwork as usual. We will see how this all shakes out in the next day or so. I can't pay...
I have all the info about the GP rep @ Lake Butler, his name is Larry & I have dealt with him many times during recovery. A very helpful individual! I can contact him to see what shape the truck is in as I need to preview a couple of items up for auction in the near future.
James is at it again, working miracles for folks here on Steel Soldiers & elsewhere. Kudos to James for being able to do all this in a short time frame of planning. Rodny123 must have really good karma to have all this help lined up on a Sunday after Thanksgiving.
Sounds like a great idea, we will have to see what the Op has to say as to what recovery method he has come up with. If good with him, let me know a time line. The M1082 does have the framework of the cover in the bed if that might be a problem. My place has limited moving/turning room for big...
That is the exact spare I got from the auction site for about $60.00 a few years ago. I would use it rather than plumb in another type of pump. The difference is that you have already made the switch over. Have you checked the pressure that the new intank pump provides? It should be about 5 - 8...
I don't have a trailer capable of hauling the truck, but I live 15 miles from the storage yard & can flat tow & store the truck if that is what is needed. I do not think there is anybody closer. Does the truck run?
Now if I can just get my M1082 trailer from Albany to Gainesville. I be sitting...
I have been waiting for a Florida title on my 1985 M35A2C that I got on 13 September 2017; all fees were paid @ that time along with the purchase price. After calling today, I found out that the SF97 forms were the holdup in the titling process & I should wait another 3 to 4 weeks to get the...
That picture just smacks me upside the head multiple times hard. Great picture & congratulations on the trip. My M1081 needs a turrent cover & drivers side window to get insurance & a tag so I can go get my M1082 that SandCobra is holding for me in Albany, Ga. I probably will have to go get it...
Another chapter in the ongoing saga of James coming to the rescue for the guys on Steel Soldiers. Yesterday, while James was watching his favorite movie series, I called him about a pickup in Jacksonville that I was unable to recover due to work & health issues. He dropped the movie, jumped in...
The video of the onion harvesting reminded me of farm work with the Deuces back in the 70's where we had silage cutters blow cut green corn back into a Deuce to be dumped into a huge concrete container & stored for winter feed just like they harvested onions. In the Fall, they combined corn or...
I have pulled 4 of the 105A2's home with the Deuce & the Toyota Tacoma. Rule #1 is never hook up the air brake hoses for the trip home. Rule #2 is never play with the emergency brake levers & rule #3 is check your brake drum temps from the first 5 miles, 10 miles, 20 miles till you are happy...
There are quite a few threads here on the air brake systems of the LMTV's, so do a search for those threads for some informative reading & problem solving. Reading them would be much faster & to the point than trying to discuss it here.
