Hi Mike. I've been following along with your repair. I have experience with the 53 series detroits but not the 92. They are similar in that they have wet liners. Keep up the good work. You have a massive shop. That's an awesome truck and engine. I would love to have one....someday!
I need to do that to my 923A2. Thank you for the info. Your under hood looks great. Could you send me the mapping of the pieces to the rolls? Thank you and Happy New Year!
I don't have an M998 but I do have a GMC suburban with a 6.5. I had trouble with my starter and replaced the solenoid but it still acted up by not turning the engine. I got a used gear-reduction starter at a junk yard and it worked a lot better. I replaced the starter switch as well. That is...

Use a down converter not just power off from one battery. What kind of radio are you planning on installing, a mobile or an HT? You probably don't need a 40 amp downconverter unless you plan on adding other 12 volt loads. A 20 amp converter would work fine. I am using a 13.8 volt, 20 amp...
When I first started as a switchman, I had to work the extra board and only got called on rainy nights and other lousy times but, I was single and could live on what I made. The business traffic comes and goes with the economy. Just hang in there and keep the door open to that job if you...
