    I replaced seals on my M52A2 a few years ago .The cover with the seal should just need to be taped off the part that hold the bearing should just be a gasket between them.

    Oil pressure changes from startup

    If you put a drop of motor oil on a hot manifold or a hot turbo even better it will run off. A drop of diesel will quickly evaperate . Try a drop of oil from your engine and see what it does ?

    Brake Upgrade for M172A1 Trailer

    Type 30 brake chambers should replace your bad chambers . and the right valve will set the brakes when the truck air lines are unhooked or the air pressure drops from the truck . This trailer may already have this valve it's just full of rust .

    The square on top of the bull gear cover may be stamped with model number and rating . The winch needs to be cleaned up and have the cover removed to check the bull gear -bushings and see how much brass shavings are in the bottom of the case . Some military winches get very little or no use...

    I found this split rim in with my other tires . this rim that just hooks together and is the rim that is banned .

    This couping goes between the power steering pump and compressor on a mack engine it is 5/8 maybe this helps.

    Bobber help. need advice on removing bogie rivets

    Grind the head off center punch the center of the rivet .Then drill a 5/16 hole through most of the rivet then use a 1/4 punch to drive out the rivet the drilled hole and smaller punch will let the steel push in ward . Good luck I realy hate rivets .

    Removed the steering relay lever from my M52a2 and replaced the bushings seals and a new pin . about $60 .

    Better to rebuild or replace master cylinder/wheel cylinders

    I like to replace with new if I can and bleed the cylinders once a year to remove moisture .

    I would check the PTO it could need a spacer . If it's to tight it can make shifting a problem ?

    When I rebuilt the brakes on my M211 they would hang or release slower then I though they should . I ajusted them again and they where fine . With 12 wheel cylinders the more the the shoes have to traval to stop the truck it takes time for that much more fluid to return to the master...

    I think it's a sheld to keep grease thrown by the u joint off of the spare tire .When I took the one off my truck it had lots of old grease on it .
