    CIVI Gen. thoughts.

The guy wire in correct this two outlet 120 and the GFI outlet I believe was already there. I can leave the GFI but I do not need the line he put in. I rather redo it with the flex conduit and a 30 amp 120 receptacle for the trailer. 30 amps is more than enough for the trailer as it is just the...

    CIVI Gen. thoughts.

Yes 120 only for my military 373 trailer that is set up to just live in if there is a power outage here. I have a Honda 3 k gas engine that I used when I went to different rallies. It ran everything I needed. Now I am not going to drag the 373 trailer anywhere it just sits next to the carport...

    CIVI Gen. thoughts.

More pics. Has both 2 inch ball or flip and pintle hook up. If all I can get is my 30 amps I am more than happy as now if I loose power I can still take a shower or have running water. Then at night I can keep the 373 trailer going plus the fridge. If I can increase the main breaker and that 10...

    CIVI Gen. thoughts.

OK do not know a thing about any of them. I bought this old diesel light tower that has been converted to just power. Kohler and she runs at 1800rpm. The guy I got it from wired up a 240 volt plug and two 120 plugs . My data tag says 67 amps 120 and 33 amps 240. Now the light tower has the main...

5 ton expando vs. extra long wheelbase cargo.

Is there a reason you want X military truck to start with? The Exp. van box is heavy plus everything you carry in it has to be put back into the middle for transport. So you bathroom will have to be forward middle. The Exp. van on the 809 series has fiberglass insulation and when it get wet it...

    Run away LDS mutifuel engine.

This is one of the reasons we leave the shut down cable / handle pull out when we leave the truck. If you had done that and the fuel control unit assembly is stuck it just would not have started. Much less of a problem to check / fix a stuck / sticky fuel control assembly. If I go to help...

    Injector sound vs. valve sound

I found the longer I drove the Deuce the less I could hear anything. Say what?

Everything new, still wouldn't start on it's own - SOLVED!

Long way to go to get out of IDA's way but ok. X wife just outside of New Orleans some shingles roof damage let water in living room and bedroom closet. Brother in law in Houma vary little damage to house and he stayed at Houma FBO. Airport took lots of damage. As for the plunger I just lean...

Everything new, still wouldn't start on it's own - SOLVED!

Dam you up early!! No problem. Garrett have no problem with you and you have always helped people with the trucks with no attitude. Now once again not saying it is the plunger sticking just that it was thrown in a discussion. Even outside of the box IP stops with plunger almost all the way down...

    Injector sound vs. valve sound

You put your ear to the injectors yet? A good 3500 psi injector will talk to you when it pops. The single hole was if I remember popped at a lower figure of 2850 if it was in tune. Heard reference to a good running multi fuel sewing machine with all the ticks.

Everything new, still wouldn't start on it's own - SOLVED!

I will have to say that yes plungers and there bores can wear. After talking to the OP he said the other owner had run all kinds of crap through the system for fuel. Now it has been talked about the unfiltered WMO can be real bad for the tolerances of plunger and bore. Just not adding something...

Everything new, still wouldn't start on it's own - SOLVED!

Well we will never know where the button is when the head is installed. I do not believe that little flimsy retainer clip can take all the pressure of the plunger spring and spring set up below it and not have an advantage of the design of the timing button and tappet assembly below. The...

Everything new, still wouldn't start on it's own - SOLVED!

Well just glad he is up and running again. AMBAC serviced / rebuilt the heads I was selling wonder if they still will. The Deuces are cool trucks but give me the 809 series or the only truck I love and have now the 915A2.

    Removing, rebuilding, reinstalling Hydraulic Head

Yea good price if they are new two hole and popping at 3500. Take out two hole still might need pop testing. Pays to ask!

Everything new, still wouldn't start on it's own - SOLVED!

You would think but in the first post he said it was running fine just hard starting. Seems like most cases when button falls off then there is a no run problem. Wonder here the button / clip fell of when he removed the head. Since the button / plunger has some pressure on it from the tappet /...
