    The WeenieWagun v3

got similar idea in mind.... using PA system for horn. I can speak (yell) right at them or use the Emergency service chirp chirp / siren . Ended up with two PA actually... thinking truck horn will trigger one set to make the chirp siren thing go off. Other one set for PA and wear a PTT mic lol.

This is why am planning 3 winches. 18k 24v military units with a bunch of snatch blocks. One rear, one front . Third one on a huge receiver (to match FMTV helicopter lift behind cab.) and sit in a place that if rig flops on side it can be accessed and slipped into place on the exposed...

    The WeenieWagun v3

one step forward..... two steps backward..... ain't that how it always goes? PS- air horns are tools. Use wisely. Loud sharp noise like air horns (esp. when used irresponsibly) DO damage hearing of children and elderly. DO trigger PTSD

    CHUCKY'S TREE HOUSE !

look forward to pics of final working model with cab up and the lock bar in place. GREAT IDEA. have braced before with long 2x4 and have it slide right out under dropping hydrualics, just missing crushing me. That was a Truck Bed Tilt box. All the 2x4 did was give me early warning that the...

Fmtv transmission and CTIS displays suddenly turned off

not sure the full story.... seems that the older lever style switch the ground was thru the mounting bolts. On the new push button there was either not a seperate ground bolt until a second generation.... or there was one all along, but soldier/mechanic skipped using it thinking since the lever...

Fmtv transmission and CTIS displays suddenly turned off

@Keith Knight ... does your light switch have a ground wire on it? Updated push button ones do. The non grounded as Ronmar mentions had problems... including a few fires.... traced back to the light switch.

FL to AL. .. Matters where to where lol. Miami to Huntsville is still nearly 15-16 hours 865-ish miles in an LMTV...... yet Graceville FL to Dothan AL is 25-ish miles and 40ish min in an LMTV. Granted... Neither is like driving to Alaska yet....

Did I just buy a 2023 LMTV M1078A1 or not?

that one plate of 4/23 on it is what likely threw them off. What is that plate? Does not look like the main plate by driver knee. Will be interesting to see what the paperwork he gets actually says

condensation..... IMHO just plan on oversized de-humidifier in your build and a way to power it. Of course doing "reasonable" things to mitigate it too will help... Rolled roof has advantage leak wise. Did he glue all the skin on? What about roof? What glue if so?

Bought Someone’s M1078 Camper Project- Seeking Direction on a Couple Issues

yep...... your concern is a big one. That set up will rip apart. IMHO this may well be why project stopped and did not move forward. Would need complete re-done in mounting department. Was aware of this rig for sale and asked the seller about it. Was not in the market myself.... but saw...
