The video shows a maxron 3500 lb lift gate. Bought a truck from Warner Robins like that to use the lift on the camper. Works very well and was not that hard to install.
The m35a3 O-rings are about .170 in dia., regular truck O-rings are about .250 dia. Using the fatter O-rings in a3 rims has stopped any leaks in this area for me.
Your m989 is a great trailer, but is almost 7000 lbs to start with. Get very heavy when made into a camper. Just my 2 cents. Might consider a M146 move the axle and add a pineal hitch.
The front axle will weigh in at about 14000lb. empty at least the m916's are. Do not know SC laws for weigh on front axle. Would be interesting to know the M917 works out.
The m146 trailer makes a very nice box in which to build a camper. I did a 3pt. mount for the box as I didn't want to twist it as the truck frame twists. You may want to stretch the truck wheelbase a little after you do a weight and balance depending on the interior.
