Something just came up last minute, I'm not going to make it. I haven't heard from Ollie or Robert and Maureen, so it might just be Carnac and DatGuyC. Hopefully I'll be back in next month.
It's that time again, second Saturday of the month. Any MV enthusiasts out there that would like to get together for breakfast at the Bob Evans in Eldersburg we will be meeting at 10:00am for breakfast. Please let us know if you plan on attending so we can get an idea for seating. Hope to see...
You probably have already checked this, but the bottoms of these pumps are notorious for falling off and the spacer plates that create the pump well drop out. When that happens the impellar spins but nothing is actually pumped through the line. Is the bottom still on the pump and the spacer...
We had switched last month back to Bob Evans. I can't make it this Saturday, I'm assisting with a Veterans Day event but hope to be back in December for the meet.
It's that time of the month again, second Saturday. Last month we switched from Mt. Airy Ihop back to Bob Evans in Eldersburg. Anyone interested in meeting again at 10:00 am this Saturday at the rear parking lot of Bob Evans, or if you would prefer back to IHOP in Mt. Airy, please respond...
Have had same issues. Sprague out of adjustment, steering wheel started pulling and jerking going down road. Scary. Heard loud bang one time pulling into a garage bay to replace tires, scared the heck out of people standing around. Short term remedy for me, I took out the front drive shaft...
I had the same issues, those buggers are destructive. Peppermint oil has worked well for me. I take the top off of two small bottles and let it sit next to the transmission shifter. Have had very few issues since. The bottles are good for 1 to 2 years before it evaporates. Don't bother...
Here's what I did with mine. I took siding and trimmed it off to the j-channel portion. I then glued the top to the siding using Pliobond. I then added a few rivets for added strength and painted it to match. Has held up great for years, no issues. Hope this helps.
Anyone interested in meeting with other MV enthusiasts, meet us at 10:00 am at the Bob Evans in Eldersburg this Saturday 10/08/16 (2nd Saturday of every month). We are changing it up a bit and switching back to Bob Evans this month. If you can make it, please let us know so we know how many...
2nd Saturday of October. Will probably be going back to Bob Evans in Eldersburg this time around. Will post a new meeting thread for that event next week. Glad the truck is up and running! Would love to see it.
Any MV enthusiasts that want to get together for some breakfast and shop talk, meet us at 10:00 am at the Mt. Airy IHOP. If you can make it please respond so we know how many seats to expect.
So I have experimented and upgraded this to plywood which seems much stronger than the OSB. The OSB bow I made is still holding up, but I'm replacing all of my bows with the following:
I bought a 4 x 8 sheet of 15/32" A/C plywood for $29, ripped it into strips 2 3/8 wide and was able to make 9...
Mine has done the same thing. Very strange. Depending on the weather the level seems to change. Can't find any leaks and fluid seems to stay close to full but fluctuates on the remote reservoir.
One of my cargo bows recently broke in half. I can't seem to find anywhere to get just 5 bows to replace the old one's in my area and don't have a steam box to steam my own, so I came up with this cheap and easy fix using the below steps:
1) Draw a rectangle 75" long by 5" high on a flat...
This Saturday is the second Saturday of the month. 10:00am at Mount Airy IHOP. We go to get seated at 10, so if your planning on sitting together be there prior to 10 or let us know if you are definitely coming so we can plan. I know Robert and Maureen are not going to be able to make it...
