Welcome to Steel Soldiers.
The Technical Manual for the trailer will have the part number(s).
Available free for download in the TM section.
Post your parts needed request in the Parts Wanted forum.
They will tow it fine but it looks weird together.
Years ago things were a lot cheaper and plenty of trailers.
That is no longer the case on both counts
Stick with the M101A2.
It was designed for the CUCV and matches it perfectly.
The M1101/2 looks weird behind a CUCV since it was designed for a completely different vehicle.
Two different generations that don’t look good together.
The original trailer tongue was a tad too short
In sharp turns the trailer will make contact with the tow vehicle.
The Military came out with an extension kit to solve the problem.
The NOS kits were on eBay but I think the supply dried up.
Haven’t looked in quite a while.
Trailer up on blocks, pallets, and foam board under tarp to prevent ponding are excellent suggestions and probably your best bets.
It will handle your cargo just fine, but unless it’s parked on a hard surface, the tires will slowly sink into the ground.

Used my green M101A2 the last few days.
Fairly heavy loads over horrendous Rural roads.
Once parked and disconnecting it from the M1008A1, I discovered both frame bolts on right side, under surge brake assembly, were loose.
Could spin both by hand loose.
Left side was fine.
Quick hit with...
Until this thread, I had never seen such an early M101 series with lifting points.
Wonder if it was a Unit add-on modification or a spec design change between contracts.
Just makes the M101 Trailer series even better.
