Ryan, No wonder the military moved to these.
Will, I really like the color of your truck. Cover was around $450, pricing is on GMA's site (I think). I wanted to stay with desert colors. I'm going to stay with 4 color MERDC. The side of the bed is sort of a color experiment.
Thanks David4x4...
Finally got the bows & GMA cargo cover on the deuce. Very happy with the GMA cover. Got the tires I've had for 6 months on it as well. Titan 373's, 11x20's from Jacks Gov Surplus. I balanced the front tires.
Here's a few more pics. The parade was 3 miles long, over 200,000 spectators, and over 100 units participating (our 25 or so trucks made up 1 unit). Huge parade. Lot's of MV's both active and retired.
The 900 & Howitzer were from the AZ National Guard.
We drove with the Arizona Military Vehicle Collectors Club (AMVCC) today in the Phoenix parade. My wife drove the M1028A1, I drove the M275A2 with the MEP006A / M200A1 in tow. We started at the Phoenix VA Hospital. Many Vets from the hospital came out to view the trucks before the parade. It was...
Is there an OD transmission available for the M52A2 or are they all direct drive (DD) 5th. I'm now thinking that if this tractor can do 55 with the DD trans in it, that's fine with me. Want to keep it "as is".
I went to take a close look at the 68 M52A2 today. Drove it for about 30 min. Really like the power steering, early style. Rides nice too. Brakes are missing one adjuster although owner has a new one. Direct drive transmission, shifts perfect. Good clutch. Engine while driving at steady throtle...
I joined the Arizona Military Vehicle Collectors Club (AMVCC) last week. We did our first parade in the M1028A1 today. Had my two scouts along, Bjorn & Leif. We had a great time! There were about 20 vehicles attending. Sorry don't have more pictures.
Hey Devin, Yah I know, I'm wondering the same thing, is there any difference power wise with the M52A2's multifuel. Brakes on my Deuce Tractor are great, power steering would be a huge plus when manuvering trailer back into it's storage slot. I know I can add the air assist system. It's a very...
Thanks for the info on the tachograph. When I was a young telephone man with the Bell System some of our trucks had a similar device that was a gray box, I've also seen those on over the road tractors, company rigs.
Thanks for the insight on the M52A2. I'll try to get out to look at it tomorrow...
