Soni,
When you add all of the pictures sometimes it does rearrange them. You can drag and drop the pictures into the right order under the Attachments section. Always preview your post before clicking the post reply button.
Can you post more pictures of your winch mount? I have a Warn 18000 lb winch I would like to mount just like yours. I need pics of the supporting plate and everything going on behind the bumper. Thanks!
Just for future searchers of the forum would you mind stating how much that replacement computer cost you? Could you share the Wisconsin vendor to ship the computer to? Thanks in advance.
I'm glad you got your M1070 back on the road.
This may not be what you are looking for, but it's a shot of several different rims for a 5 ton. I run re-centered HEMTT wheels on my bobbed deuce. I got them from Stazworks.
Wow, that's good information right there. I went ahead and worked a deal with a local fabricator to get the Freightliner intercooler shortened for free. Pics to follow in my build thread.
Sorry for the lack of updates. I had a few websites to construct for clients, holiday trips, chemical plant outage work, etc.
1) I decided to abandon the idea of modifying the hood to make things work for the radiator/intercooler combo.
2) To keep the hood stock I need to cut 2 rows off the...
Sorry I haven't updated my build website in quite a while. I don't normally update the website until that portion of the project is completed.
I left the transfer case where it is. The transmission output shaft stayed stock. I simply moved the engine/tranny forward in the chassis. It looks...
That's not correct. I used the factory deuce transmission output shaft that connects to the transfer case. I did, however, purchase a companion flange for the AT545 output to mate up with the factory deuce output shaft. I recall the output shaft having a 12" overall length, but 11" if it's...
With my Cummins 5.9 + Allison AT545 swap the only things that are electric are the starter, alternator, and the fan clutch. I converted the shutdown solenoid to use the factory mechanical pull cable.
Pretty much everything you ever wanted to know about the Allison AT545 is at the link below (including measurements).

Neat article with input on 3 different sized engines from multiple vendors.

I know I don't have to cut my core down even though it hangs down into the frame, but others might. I have an electric winch so a PTO shaft isn't a problem I have to deal with.
Loved the video! A few questions if I may...
1) What tire pressure did you run in the sand?
2) How long does it take to fill the tires back up with air?
3) Do you use the on-board compressor to fill them up?
4) Would you have been able to do all of that in your video without lockers?
The system came in and I installed the pedal assembly and hydroboost setup on the firewall. I had to bend the pedal arm to put it where the brake pedal should go because the pedal assembly could only fit to the left of the steering shaft. I should be tackling the final brake lines that connect...
I'm not worried about the sizing of the Freightliner / Thomas Built bus packaged powertrain components. They were all sized for a GVWR of 30,000 lbs. The deuce is far less than that.
I went with all Freightliner stuff out of a Thomas Built bus for my Cummins 5.9L + Allison AT545 swap. Yeah it's all way overkill for the deuce in proportions, but heck I got the entire engine/tranny/radiator/intercooler/etc for $800! It's a 1997 12valve with 40k miles on it.
A buddy found my...
Soni, I got an idea for you. It's a wee bit overkill, but a good idea nonetheless. Load your dump bed up with presents and pass out the presents one by one with the FEMTT crane for the local Toys for Tots drive around Christmas time. Somebody might even get a motorcycle this year! :naner:
