I do not know if this was standard practice, but one of my four M135s (truck #5314) possibly had this all over the frame, axles and wheel wells. It was all sandblasted off last year because I didn't like the way it looked.
What a neat find!! Thank you for letting us join in on the excitement of opening up those crates.
I've got a question about Gander's instrument cluster. Is the panel new or did you guys paint the Low Range/High Range, Oil, Air and High Beam markings on it? If you guys painted those on, would...
rustystud, can you get measurements/make drawings of the bushings, washers, seals, etc.? Maybe we could see what it would cost to have some made. Depending on material and complexity of some of it, I may be able to make some on CNC equipment as time allows.
I am sorry for your loss Dave. It sounds like your dad was a truly great man. Very neat that he left those 71 pages about his life. What a priceless thing to leave his family!!
You are in our thought and prayers down here. If you need anything or just need to talk, let me know

I'm not positive what shade it is you are looking for, but I matched this color off of a 1950s dated gas can. It is what I am painting my M135 with. It is Behr semi-gloss.
Here is the color match on the gas can. The darker green spot in the upper right corner was my first attempt. The final...
I am using this airless sprayer from Harbor Freight with a Graco 315 tip. It works really well. I have not had to thin the paint at all to spray.

Your paint should be fine if it isn't bubbling up or anything. A few days in the...
I'm using Behr as well. So far I am very happy with it, but I have been careful to not get it wet until dry.
What is the paint doing since it keeps getting wet?
