    Door sag

With the door open. Do you get slop at the hinges if you pick up on the handle end? If so, try to see if it is the upper or lower hinge. Possibly both. If no slop then it comes back to the cab being tweaked or as mentioned above the tolerance of the cab and the tolerance of the door being at...

    AN PTFE

That is confusing. I would just run -6 everywhere.

    AN PTFE

I love AN fittings. Easy and infinitely reusable. Route the one from the primary filter under the radiator to the secondary filters with care. That cross member can and does hit things.

    AN PTFE

I typed the above and then saw your location. Do you have the metal pipe rusting out? That would be a good idea switching over to PTFE. -6 will provide plenty of fuel. There is 1 soft hose connecting parts of the IP to themselves that is very, very hard to get to and another from the frame to...

    AN PTFE

The numbers for the Army/Navy fittings are in 16ths. So, a -6 would be 6/16 or 3/8. Where are you wanting to replace the steel tubing or rather why? I am all for AN PTFE for fuel hose. However, if there is a pipe that doesn’t leak, why change it is my thinking.

Operation: Gertrude. Kendelrios M715 restoration thread

Fuel pump or blocked needle and seat in the carb? My stock engine would just turn off while driving due to crud in the tank blocking off the needle and seat. I was running 2 see thru fuel filters and carrying a few spares for a while. I finally pulled the tank, had it boiled clean and all was...

    Upper Radiator hose for M1008

I some how actually ordered 2 21284 hoses. They showed up today and both are 1.75” ID on both ends. I think you got a mislabeled part.

    Upper Radiator hose for M1008

I’ve never seen the M1031 throttle control unit before. Thanks for posting a wide shot.

    Upper Radiator hose for M1008

The -34P Technical manual for the CUCV is nothing but exploded views of the entire truck. Here is a link to access the manuals: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/cucv-technical-manuals.220280/ Page 30-1 of the -34 shows the upper radiator hose and the Delco part number: 14036744 This is...

    M1009 Electrical resistors.

I just charged the A/C in the M1009 a few minutes ago Clint. I was prepping a ”luxury” convoy for you. See you tomorrow and sorry to hear about your dog.

2025 TX MV Rally Buy/Sell/Trade Thread

I forgot about the robbery. Sorry to bring it up again. No worries on the stencil stuff. We will have plenty of time to visit about it this weekend.

    2025 TX MV Rally

I loaded my IBEK tow bar in the M1009 a little while ago. No fuel leakage today either. I was looking forward to seeing those of you that won’t make it. Rory, travel smart.

2025 TX MV Rally Buy/Sell/Trade Thread

Carnac, Didn’t you have stencils or a stencil machine to make stencils one year? I am going to be needing big and small letter and numbers in the next few years when my 20 year repaint of the M715 comes up. I also have to ask if you have anymore Snap-On tools that I haven’t already bought...

    M1008 Hard Start

You are going to see this a lot. Do not use starting fluid on a glow plug engine! Unless you totally have the system disabled and are willing to deal with a possible broken engine. With that written. Your fuel pump replacement should not cause starting issues since you have verified the pump...

    2025 TX MV Rally

I am going to change my vehicle line up yet again. I drove the M715 to town yesterday evening and it left a good sized puddle of coolant when I parked. The water pump bearing and seal let go. I probably have more than a dozen used pumps that I could throw on there here at the house. I only...

    Engine swap

There is a guy also in Cleveland doing a 6.2 swap into a M37 on another forum I frequent. He looked into a 4BT swap if I remember correctly. I know he is a member here but I can’t remember his username. Anyway, here is that other thread...

    Power steering bleeding issues

If you are just getting a trickle from the return then either a restriction somewhere or a bad pump might very well be your issue. Also, I have always done the wheel lock to lock in the air with the engine off to bleeding the system. Should work either way I guess.

    2025 TX MV Rally

My M715 has new wheel cylinders which means the brakes now work again. I even got the brake light to function too! Plus a new tube had to get installed yesterday after a flat last weekend teaching people how to drive a manual off road. I was hoping to trailer it behind the Whistler M35 Like I...
