Nice work!
I grew up in Newington, and never heard of Moodus before. My folks moved to Portland and live there now; we were just visiting in October.
If you can heft the tire up that high and line up the holes, props to you.
Is there any reason he couldn't find a M1101/1102 tailgate and install it on the trailer he has now? With the tailgate down. the bed length would probably be long enough to fit the ATV.
It sounds to me like the fuel line is obstructed somewhere. Disconnecting the fuel line bypassed the obstruction or blockage and allowed the engine to pull enough fuel to let it start, but then died when the lines emptied.
Maybe you had some trash in the tank that's now blocking the filter sock?
Why so fixated on running a 12V compressor? There are numerous 24V compressors in the same price range that are lower risk to your electrics and don't require so much effort. 🤷♂️
About 80% of this thread goes right over my head - apologies for what may be some ignorant questions...
The electrician wired my 802 to my panel, but didn't seem too concerned about the ground lug at the generator. I was told that the generator should be grounded, and was dangerous without it...
I finally got around to giving this generator a more thorough test.
With most of the interior lights turned on, the heat ( is gas so distro only), the fridge running, and the dryer (single phase) it's running at around 30-35%.
With the oven (two 120 legs) it goes to 80%.
So my concern now...
If the lights can take 24V you may decrease the complexity by using 24V to power them.
I don't understand that diagram, but run 24v to the lights and run the ground wire into the cab to the switch. In other words, switch the ground, not the power.
1. Are the rock lights 12v (for sure) or multi-voltage?
2. How are you switching them? Can you draw out a diagram for how you wired them?
3. From where are you pulling the power for the Orion?
The local Veteran's Day parade wanted the HMMWV and told me I would have two WWII vets in the back seats. Cool, I'll be there.
So I get to the staging area this morning and discovered my County Sheriffs have an MRAP? Sleepy little county with a SWAT team, an armored HMMWV (they didn't bring...
I've been holding out for warm weather to repaint the Duke CIED antenna green to match the truck, but warm is gone here. Yesterday was borderline so I disassembled it, painted it, and carefully put it in the garage to dry.
Here's a shot of the no-ground-plane dual band ham radio antenna as it...
The nearby navy base has two trucks in their DRMO outbound with 'different' looking LED turns; bigger LEDs and fewer of them in the cluster. So apparently there's more than just Trucklite supplying them.
