I threw down a low bid on a non-running MEP-802A genset based on the video of the guy trying to start it. The pictures showed the dead-crank switch in the OFF position, and his vibe seemed to be one of indifference, like, "I'm going to rotate this switch and if it starts I'll be surprised"...

I think it's the light reflecting off the glass - not white but clear.

I stopped at the (going to) DRMO lot and this one is still there. Story is a young Marine drove it off one of the magazines (sort of like a Quonset hut covered in dirt/grass) and dropped it 30' strait to the ground.

Nothing improves the poor visibility out of a HMMWV like ... hey, wait a minute... I assume the windshield wipers are tied back (forward) to help you get the glass out, not because you put the tint on the outside? Looks good though!

I thought about bidding on that too, and the other one, myself but balked. Please keep us advised on the installation - I'm interested to hear how that goes, what parts you needed source, etc.

Risk has two components, likelihood of occurrence, and consequences of occurrence. Scoring this risk on the matrix seems to fall under 1 or 2, and neither scores high. Agree. It's something to think about but enough risk to go crazy over.
