Fans will help keep the air moving which will deter the bugs from flying near there. Set a couple at one end to pull air in and past the truck, and two at the other end to move the air out. Obviously don't paint with the fans on, but switch them on right after laying the paint to keep the bugs...

Thanks wreckerman, it looks like you have to unbolt the cover plate that the breather tube that runs through the boot is on. That might let the breather tube come off with the boot to keep from ripping it. Right now I have redneck fixed it by filling the rip with a gas resistant sealer we use...
