    Howdy, That's exactly what you need to do. Hide the generator. Get everything installed and inspected. As long as the hookup, transfer switch, panels, meter and such are ready for service and generator inlet is ready, they have no need to know what generator is used. That is on you.

    Howdy, Don't get to carried away. Older units do NOT have captive nuts. :cry: and its a real pain to get way up in the air cleaner area. I know for a fact my 2007 units do not have captive nuts. The 2009 units do. So somewhere in between they changed over to that nice captive nut style.

    Howdy, The switches were not a new or year type item. The NSN an calls for a switch. Some manufacturers made a better switch than others. The Electroswitch with metal housing and metal stab pin are the better unit. They can also be identified by the bakelite switch handle.

    Howdy, Before you get to excited cranking.... check to make sure your unit has the quad winding fuse mod. Excessive cranking can do bad stuff. Go through the unit to make sure it is ready to start too.

    Howdy, OK, I am not talking about filters I have put on. Yes, some oil on the rubber gasket before installing. The original installed filter when you purchased the unit, was probably installed dry, and very tight.
