I'm planning on replacing mine with some custom King shocks. If someone could post the bushing centerline to bushing centerline, bolt diameters, and upper bushing width it would be much appreciated.
Yes, the CTIS lug nut are stupid expensive and you have to be patient to get them. You used to be able to buy them directly from Hutcheson, but they no longer deal with the public directly. They will refer you to one of their distributors, which are all military suppliers and thus are incredibly...
Okay, so yes, the valve body for the aluminum wheels uses two o-rings between the back of the valve body and the rim, photo below. The aluminum rim valves use the same internals as the steel wheel valve and the rebuild kits I have for them do not include the o-rings for the back. These kits are...
Sounds like you’re going to need those o-rings too then. I’ll look in the rebuild kits I have to see if they are included. Most likely are and valve rebuild kits are good to have, so you might want to pick up some. Typically cheap and easy to find.
I just went through this fiasco, and my cooler was also 30 thousandths out. Had it lapped, so it's dead flat know. I installed the CAT pre-filter, my truck is C7 powered so not sure if that filter works on a 3126, and the gen II IFS post filter. Photos below showing how I modified the routing of...
If you unplug the injection actuation pressure sensor and then start the engine, the ECM will default to the required 870psi at idle. If all is well that way, you know the issue is the sensor. Don't try driving the truck with the sensor unplugged of course, it'll throw a bunch of codes.
Okay, this saga is behind me. The gasket that came in the kit I ordered is really nice and better than than the original paper only gasket in my opinion. Also installed the 175psi secondary relief valve. Removing the original relief valve was a royal pain in the a$$. Whoever installed it buried...
Yes, I bought a kit earlier this evening. I just made a gasket for this at the onset of the HEUI system rebuild and the pistons and springs all looked really good. Made the gasket out of cork hoping to fix a leak caused by a void in the casting, but obviously made it worse. The casting used for...
Okay, found the leak, and it's a biggy. Anyone know where I can get gasket #5? Not opposed to buying the whole kit, but there are a bunch of variants and it isn't clear which one is correct.
Also, put a gauge on the wet tank and the compressor is definitely unloading, but it cycles every 50...
Thanks, ordering now. You can definitely see that the secondary relief valve has been blowing off, but the primary is releasing more frequently than it used to as well. It seems like the compressor isn't unloading.
Awesome, thanks GD! I have a service kit for the air dryer and need to get that done too, so I'll order up the relief valve and get both done at the same time.
Well, all I will say here, is that the CAT prefilter is just about keeping unfiltered oil out of the HEUI pump, it's obviously much more sensitive to that than the engine itself. So I don't see it as something where if it has contaminates in it the engine is Ef'ed anyway, and as you say, having...
