So you have the old quad fuse modification. One question, are you using a 250v glass fuse with a time delay? Usually 3amps? Because if your not using the correct the fuse, it's going to blow as you described.
The water pump is held in place with 4 or 5 bolts and then 2 nuts on the bottom section (the 2 nuts actually just hold the pump to the plate). When you pull the pump, the back plate comes off with it because the bolts hold the water pump and back pump in place. The water pump gasket is easy to...
It has to get HOTTTTTT to shut down. If I have a unit that shuts down due to temperature, smoke is coming off the valve covers and you can't touch it. Is that a symptom your seeing?
Just relay on the generator, it will be fine.
I've mounted a combination RV box, which had a 30amp, 50amp and 2 110 outlets, that included their own independent breakers. I got them from Lowes for around $175. I mounted it on the side of the generator and turned out real well; if your looking...
Are you sure you set the timing correctly because it has to be set with the compression stroke of number 1 cylinder. So if you set the timing 180 degrees off, then you will have the same problem. The timing marks will match but the flow will be off.
Since your flow timing is off, have you determined what button you need to correct the flow timing? I've had units come in with the wrong buttons because I believe someone just tried to swap the IP's but didn't check the flow timing.
Clean S8. The problems you are reporting, resolve around S8 (reconnection switch). Take the top cover off and spray the connections on S8 as you rotate the switch, as describe by Light in the Dark. Do this about 2 dozen times and you will see your issues resolved or at the very least improve. If...
I don't believe your unit has any problems. The short circuit fault is activated because of the large inrush of amperage from the A/C unit. The overload fault happens when the unit takes the load or gradually increased to cause the fault. But when its a sudden inrush of current it automatically...
The initial surge is to much for the 803a. Your LRA (locked rotor amps) is 141 amps so your initial surge far exceeds it capacity. The 141 amps only happens for a millisecond and most meters can catch the reading. Your set did exactly what it is suppose to do. They are made for sensitive...
Search the part number from the GMG post and you should be able to find it for $38. It only takes about 30 minutes to replace. The hardest part is taking the 20 little bolts off the cover to take it off. LOL!
Also usually no way to fix it, just buy a new one.
Yes, if an injector is not working correctly you'll see a swing of more than 8 degrees plus or minus. They could be all out of wack so take some temperature readings and report back.
