Howdy,
It seems all the units which still have the factory installed water/fuel filter installed are stuck on hard. It could be because of the age, dry installation, over tightened, etc...
Another filter which was a bear to get off.
Howdy,
OK, after you start replacing some, you do get carried away a little. I guess I should have just ordered at least 200 of the screws to begin with. It kinds sucks when your going along and then you realize you do not have any screws left.
Howdy,
Now with the green item epidemic is growing, I have one unit to move around each and keep them charged and maintained.
4 units maintained with the slave port.
Howdy,
Nevermind. Going back and forth reading to many TM's
Here it is.
Set float switch stem 1/16 inch from bottom of fuel tank . Tighten switch plate adjusting nut. Connect electrical connector and remove tag. Install front housing panel, paragraph 2-18.4. Connect negative battery cable and...
Howdy,
Since I am in a similar predicament.
What distance approx. should the top be showing above the locking nut gasket?
I do not have a good reference since it was messed with. I have taken it out, and verified it is working. I put in a new cork gasket. I just need a idea of where to set...
Howdy,
Actually, the unit uses
293 #10-32 x 1/2" Hex - Unslotted Drive Indented Hex Washer Head Machine Screws
116 #10 Split Lock Washers
118 #10 Flat Washers
8-) If you want to totally go crazy and replace every single one.
Howdy,
It really depends how crazy you want to go replacing screws. For example; say you only want to do the ones on the top panel and front panel only. That's maybe 40 screws. 90% the smaller #10 screws, and 7 of the 1/4" screws.
At least the listing gets you an idea about what they call...
Howdy,
For those thinking about swapping a bunch of the screws on your MEP-802/803
MEP-8xx stainless steel screw information
The main screw used 80% of locations on the panels
#10-32 x 1/2" Hex - Unslotted Drive Indented Hex Washer Head Grade 18-8 Stainless Steel Machine Screw

Howdy,
2 different types of wire
Direct burial wire will be solid copper wire. UF-B type. Dig a trench and drop it in.
Type UF-B cable is generally used as feeder to outside post lamps, pumps, and
other loads or apparatus fed from a distribution point in an existing building
as specified in...
Howdy,
Check out my load bank thread with the logs which I made while testing.
The military suggest putting a 133% load on the unit for a short duration to ensure it is ready for 100% load 24/7
Howdy,
Usually when someone talks about plugs etc... your talking about portable. SOOW wire is that. You are going with direct burial permanent installation. You might as well use solid copper wire the entire way and just connect to the lugs on the generator and connect directly to the panel...
Howdy,
Remember, these trailers have surge brakes. That means backing them can be a problem up a incline of any type. Backing and hitting a curb will most definitely lock the brakes, and could cause damage to your receiver riser on your tow vehicle. I am using only a slight rise on my receiver...
Howdy,
1998 Dodge 2500 with slightly larger than stock tires and a adjustable receiver tube flipped over to make it a riser.
Sets the saddle height around 23.75 inches high.
Any newer Light Tactical Trailer
M1101 / M1102 / LTT-TQG / LTT-Heavy / LTT-Flatdeck / LTT-Cargo
based on HMMWV 37 X 12.50R 16.5LT Rims and Tires
With the trailer itself being perfectly level. The lunette ring height is almost 25.5 inches from the ground
Hook-ups to your towing vehicle will vary.
Howdy,
OK, but
If your running it 100' you would want to step up to something like southwire viper soow 8/4 for that kind of distance. Those plugs are fine for indoor, and covered connections. Outside you want to go with something different. If you want to connect it to a off-grid barn, I would...
Howdy,
After looking around. The trailer you have is close to the M1102 trailer chassis. Except you still have a hole where the generator was sitting. In Nov 4, 2015, in California a bunch of the M1102 chassis trailers sold. Ranged from $300-$550
