NC is doing something similar, at least with the Kerosene. You used to be able to buy the dyed stuff for cheaper than you could the K-1 clear, but now the only thing I can find is K-1, and it has a sticker on the pump that tells you what form to get to get a refund on your road tax paid...:-x
Yes sir the Deuce will spin on take off with the intermediate shaft taken out. Any time you take off on a hill, or with some dirt/gravel on the road surface you will spin. I'm not saying you will burn the tires off, but it will spin before moving.
One thing, if you're thinking about running on one rear axle, it's a much better idea to pull an axle from the front tandem than to pull the intermediate shaft. With the d-shaft out, the truck will want to spin on take offs if the conditions are less than absolutely perfect.
My deuce has been very good to me, in the two years I've owned it it's cost me maybe $600 including fuel. I've only put about 3000 miles on it, but it's been pretty reliable. I really love it, but some times you just have to realize what's more important in life, an extra "toy" truck, or saving...
I've wondered a time or two why (seemingly) nobody had put water injection on their deuce yet to help with the egts. I like what you've done with the truck, looks good and can't wait for the next installment!
Here is one beside my buddy's truck. I saw him at the carwash and stopped to talk a while. Sorry for the crappy quality/light, it was a night pic on my cellphone.
