I think i will be changing to the G177's. It looks to me like chains would not work on the inside tires because they could contact the frame. If i chain the 4 outside tires i would meet the minimum requirement for Oregon. I would have a set for the front too so 6 out of 10 should be satisfactory.

I just did my head gasket. I found it to be tight around the front head. I made my own tool that worked great. You can borrow it.

I have done some searching and i cant find much on the largest tire size where i can still use tire chains on a M35A2. I also don't want to just barely get by. The truck is 100% stock right now. Does anyone have experience with larger than stock tires and chains?

I looked at the heads today and the low spot is where the gasket leaks. The shop talk me in to letting them fix it. looks like my truck will be a Guinea pig for removing more than .005.

The shop just got back to me. No cracks. Both heads are flat until the front edge which is .007 to .01 low. This is the same on both heads. He says it looks like it was machineed this way. What do I do now?

The heads are at the machine shop. I printed off the pages in the tm about the heads and gave that to the guy for any info he might need. He told me he has not got to them yet so he is not sure what all needs to be done but he did not see any info on the minimum valve recession. He explained...

I got the front head off this morning. Looks like it was number 3. There is a crack in the ring. I'm going to try to attach a picture.
