I hadn't really considered an auto-start controller before.... but after looking at a few youtoob videos on the DSE controllers - my inner geek is really interested!! Looks like a well designed controller - please keep this thread updated with your progress.
I saw the thread title, and thought "Some dude drove his truck to the office." Wow, some office you've got there!! Nice pics - THAT's how to take a truck to work!!
If your load bank is 208 or 240 only, I don't believe it would matter since neutral is unused. However, if you have any 120v component in your load bank (a fan for example) - you need to bond neutral to ground.
The system only gets bonded ONCE (otherwise if there is a problem with neutral, ground becomes a current carrier). Since the house panel has bond, the generator bond is lifted. (Yes, it will work either way - but will pose an unnecessary safety hazard if done improperly.)
Yes - that is the setting you would use for connecting to a typical house. Hot legs wired to L1 and L3 - Neutral to L0, and ground to ground. Of course you would remove the L0/ground bar when hooking to house panel. Don't forget to ground unit any time it is being run.
Brother, if I lived in OK - my stable would be much healthier (???) also. I see LOTS of good stuff coming out of your area - but shipping costs are too much for me. If the price is right, go for it - have fun, learn, and if/when you think the herd needs thinning - sell off some to help pay for...
N4TJS here - Extra - reading this thread has inspired me to get my HF rig fixed (or replaced). It got fried a couple years ago by a nearby lightning strike. Will follow along - hopefully we can get an informal net started sometime.

Tom, you have beautiful views from your place!! Good lookin' pad - are you going to add any type of shed or awning to keep the weather off?? Mine is outside right now, but I plan to at least get a cheap carport type cover for it eventually.
A bigger concern would be running it very long under very little load. Lots of threads on here about wet stacking. I have an 803, and would love to pick up a spare 802 if the price was right - both as a spare, and for those occasions where 10kw is overkill (not so much for fuel economy, but to...
Same principle applies - as Guyfang stated, the manuals for the whole procedure need to be read - and understood. I used to be a maintenance electrician at a hospital where we had parallel gensets. From a 20,000 ft level, the procedure looked exactly as he describes - however, the specifics will...
