I had a trailer harness that had the metal tags that didn't match the color codes on it ol, there's a long thread on here of me losing my damn mind but I finally got it figured and now it all works like a charm. You have to be prepared to stare at it like an idiot for at least a few hours...
when I was having trailer harness wiring issues, i would spit on it and shine a flashlight at it in broad daylight - friggin strange how a different angle with light and I was able to read some of em.
1989 Bobbed 5 ton - While my Juhnay isn't as pretty as some of the other vehicles - we just drove over 180 miles (one way to go camping) at 60mph down the highway turning heads everywhere. It's awesome to look over at a Semi Truck and you are a little higher up than the driver. She's a...
This is a new repair for me, I am not a mechanic but I am starting to learn a lot from working on this magnificent beast. When we get back from camping trip I will definitely hit this up again.
Will this new fuel sender unit stop the bouncing needle on the fuel gauge I get when I drive?
Thanks
So I drove Juhnay (my bobbed 5 ton) to work today. We are taking her camping tomorrow about 160 miles away thereabouts, so i topped of the drivers side tank last night. Problem is my fuel gauge needle always bounces around alot on our dirt road to our house and sometimes while driving regular...
I just got off the phone with company in Maine listed above, they need power of attorney filled out, a copy of bill of sale, fill out online form, and $99 for a 5 year plate. Girl even said don't worry about the power of attorney, they will send it with the plate and we can get it notarized and...
The previous owner never registered it. Evidently GA doesnt need a tag on trailers, so he never titled it when they bought it from the military auction.
Actually it does have a 17 digit VIN but it's not in the NC system.
I don't know the Model, I've tried to find it online but haven't had any luck yet.
The guy I bought it from added the drop ramp at the back of the trailer but it started life as a tilt trailer made by Northeast Fabrications...
This is what we were told by one NCDMV office here, bring bill of sale to office they will assign a VIN, we stamp the trailer, get it inspected by HWY Patrol take that back to DMV and rock on. But when wife called to have an inspector come out to house he said that if we stamp a trailer with a...
Clinton is about 3 hours or so away from us, I just bought a military trailer from a guy in Georgia and we are getting a different story from everyone we talk to at NCDMV
I shared the retractable steps in another thread, good idea thanks.
Now I have to get this trailer titled and tagged.
I thought the lights were going to be difficult lol.
So I bought this trailer from a guy in Georgia, it's a military trailer but the added a drop ramp on back to help load a golf cart. He bought it from a govt auction in Texas (no way to really know). He never titled it in Georgia because evidently you don't have to have tags for trailers there...
At the request of someone in another thread I thought I'd go ahead and post these here.
My wife had shoulder surgery and finds it very difficult to pull herself up on the first step (about 30" or so above the ground), so I ordered some Retractable Steps from Zoro.com, they sell them a few other...
