Wideload, I am interested in learning more about your units for sale. I tried sending you PM awhile ago. If you still have them available for sale, maybe you can PM me your contact info or details on the units and prices?
Wow, that is a LOT of work and headaches and as much as I enjoy this hobby, I am far too lazy and busy to immerse myself into this kind of effort. Kudos to you for pulling through.
One thing you should look into... the lien sale statute in NJ. Basically, if you have provided storage for a motor vehicle (or any property), and your charges are unpaid, you can perform a lien sale per statute and petition the DMV for a certificate of title. You may have to publish notice of...
Ross, have you managed to get any progress on this? I was looking at a PLDVK armored vehicle, which apparently is built on the Praga V3 base, and it seems like it's pretty difficult to get the Eastern European vendors to pay attention to inquiries from US. These are pretty cheap in Czech...
Teletech, thanks for the thorough and sobering input. I now am starting to realize why the same thing Stateside is running 2x what it sells in EE. I got a quote for Saurer for 15K Euro from Austria, and waiting to talk to a guy from STV and also mortar investments, both in Czech Republic. I now...
Thank you for the analysis, this is why I love this forum. I am just trying to figure things out and have almost no knowledge about armor, having never served in any armed forces. My interest is borne from totally spontaneous combustion, so I have a lot to figure out. I am mostly interested in...
Todd, nice vid. I speak Russian, so if you need help figuring out words or markings, let me know. Looks like a nice toy! How do you transport it and what have you done w/it so far?
I have an M923a2, but never considered (yet) getting a trailer and towing armor. I think I would have a heart attack. But it's probably a smart decision (and have some friends who are truck drivers and for a case of beer would drive half way to **** :) so I'm just sponging up your setup. I...
Armored party bus in Pittsburgh?? Is it a novelty or do you actually have a demand for that kind of thing?? My company does financing for paratransit vehicles and some limo operators, so I'm a bit puzzled and curious at the same time. Post some pix!
I've been thinking about importing a BRDM...
You are right, I was speaking colloquially, didn't route my commentary by the legal department first, to approve nomenclature :) regardless, it's a shame that former "comrades" are killing one another and civilians are getting hurt.
Nicely said! In my experience, it's far more effective to go back door through wife or kids who probably are sick of looking at rusted iron and will start drilling the owner to let it go. But that involves a lengthy road, patience, and unknown payoff -- few of us can deal with the process...
Awesome video. Thanks USSR for posting. For those who don't understand Russian, I was pretty humored by the interview with the guy at the end of the video (presumably the museum director from whom the tank was taken). He said they were able to thwart past efforts to take the tank for war time...
