Change your air filter, fuel filters, pull the intake pump to clean the pickup is where I would start. Basic pcms can help get your engine running a peak performance.
I am not one for turning up the fuel, but it can be done safely if monitored.
Well, take breath and don't make things worse by getting frustrated. I would wait till it drys out and grab a shovel.

Make sure your vent line to the draft tube is not blocked. Try adjusting the air regulator or replace it. I agree with other probably need to rebuild the airpack.
Yes the air compressor runs off the governor. Here is a video reviewing the multifuel engine.

My setup is a 1" impact gun from Harbor freight and a 1 1/2" bud socket. I use the on board air to power the impact wrench.
