Trying to get this truck road ready. Took off the rear cover yesterday. I got more water than gear oil. I sprayed everything down with brake cleaner. From what I can see it looks okay. Should I refill it and call it good or should I take the whole axle apart and check? thanks
What kind of hose is tygon? Can I get at the Home Depot? Sounds like a good idea. I got the FM 100 in. Need to take it back out leaks like ****. Not too sure why just yet. I got a new one-way valve. Going to put that in as well. Where did you find the hand prime? Thanks for the help. Have a good...
No I did not know that it has a bleed port. Okay so I will skip that. My pressure gauge should be here in a few days. That's a good idea on the return line
Finally got Ace Hardware and got the fittings for the FM100. $20 for bunch a little fittings. Anyway, they didn't have a petcock I was looking for. I bought the galvanized T fitting since they were out of the brass fitting. Going to put a plug in there for now. Till I find the kind of petcock am...
Just tried starting the truck. Nothing. Not even a click. Rear battery has 12.42 V. Front battery has 8.15 V. So I guess somewhere There is a drain on the front battery:x
I found an Ace Hardware by me. Going to take a ride there in a few. Have the day off. Can finally get back on this. Thank you long66. That's some good information right there. Should make this a bit smoother. I'm thinking I might pass on the electronic fuel pump until I find what the real...
Good afternoon. Working on my M1008 my stock filter base is part of my problem. I got a fm100 from Rob on CK5. I did a search I didn't see any pictures or info that I need. While I have the system open I figured I would install a 6.5 electronic fuel pump. Down the road I plan on putting a turbo...
Just unburied my stanadyne FM100 fuel filter kit. Got mine from the seller on Colorado K5. Might as well put it to work. Going to do some searching. See how some you guys put it on. Any advice on how you Mounted it up at all let me know
Yes that was a mistake. The intake was not sealed good at all. Didn’t change the injection pump. Took the intake off to tighten up the lines. Will check the fuel shut off. Hope to hear that click so I know its good. I will check the fuel line under the cab. Never thought of it. Where can I...
Originally I thought it was pulling air for somewhere. Truck sat for a while it seemed to drain back and I would have a harder time starting. Found a leaky injection pump line. Took off the intake tightened up the line. Intake gaskets were not sealed at all so that could a big problem. Replaced...
Part of the outside ear where the starter goes is broken off. It seems that the GSA people drilled the hole and tapped it to a slightly larger bolt. I was wondering if it was wise to have a welder friend get in there and add some metal to where it broke so it's not as weak. Thoughts?? or my...
