I agree that the cam timing probably isn't the best, but the turbo efficiency plays a huge role in what cam timing works best. I'm sure a modern high efficiency turbo along with a custom cam would make allot of power and lower EGT.

The flow is controled using a module that turns the system on at a boost pressure of your choice. There is another controller for the flow rate. The adjustments are almost infinite. This system can spry way more water than this engine will ever need. Don't quote me, but I think I payed...
Well I bought one of those high dollar water injection units from a member on here last year. It's all electronic controled. Haven't had time to install it yet. I was talking to an ex military mechanic that use to work on those engines. He is aware of what alcohol mixed with the water will do...
I agree, i think having the rods resized during a rebuild should be standard procedure. If a rod bearing has been spun, that rod will be junk and not serviceable !
Same with main bearings.
