Don't mean to hijack a thread, just a quick question. My 802 was made in 2000. So 15 years later, should i trust the rubber motor mounts? They do have some cracking in them even tho the genset is like new and only has 22 hours on it. I feel, if i could snag a couple rubber mounts somewhere at an...
A brand new drum, leaking at the crimp seal? Thats crazy. I'd be balistic. They have lines d drums for sale on amazon that have a coating on the inside. I'd be a buyer for one of those if i were inclined.
Amazon has legit 30 gallon drums for $55 plus $20 shipping? The aux fuel bung kit pops right in. 30 gal is easier to move. A hand cart can move it easy enough even.
Maybe 22 ft.
Just ran it for an hour or so connected to the house for the first time. It's awesome. VERY quiet once i took it off the harbor freight castors and 2x6's. No shake, no vibration, just a smooth purr and clean energy.
Great idea.
Here is what i did. Found a made in america gas caddy used at a local auction house, bid $150 and won. They are $500+ when new. Was used on a farm for diesel so all i did was drain the 9 gallons in it, added 10 oz of power service winterizer and lube, and filled it up with 28...
Just got done performing the recall by adding the fuse to my VR as stated in another thread. Took a couple quick pics of how my genset is set up. I tore up my lawn a touch dragging the 002a off, and the 802a on the pad, but that will clean up nicely in the spring. It's the dead of winter now so...
Just wanted to say thanks to all who helped me with this mod, it's all set. It's crucial to me to ensure a happy life for my very expensive generator.
Very easy to do. The lower left screw for the voltage regulator is captive as Kloppk had advised me. No need to worry about a bolt falling off in...
Also, i can't thank you enough Kloppk for all your help. Many guys here like myself love these machines, but i'm 38, work full time, and have little to no extra time after work ro research any of this stuff. You make it VERY easy. You are our 'R and D' department!!! Thanks SO much!!!
I was...
I believe the fuse protects the stator if the diode bridge fails. The MOV protects the diode bridge. So the fuse is a back up in case the diode bridge fails.
Awesome man. Thanks. Appreciate it. Now, where can i get that exact fuse holder and fuse? Thats a clean set up. Any details on that 'mov' ? I'll be happy to do the same if you have details please.
Thanks for helping and taking the time to snap a pic and post it! I really appreciate it.
If you are buying the charger strictly to keep the optimas topped off, wouldn't a pulse tech is24l solargizer do this for half the cost of a g7200?
Don't get me wrong, i love my g7200 i just bought last month, and i needed a quality charger for the garage anyway as i was sick of borrowing dads...
Hey daybreak. Did you figure this out? I ask cause i have one coming, and i'm considering just siliconing it to the southern facing side of the genset, OR building a small pedestal out of a pressure treated 4x4 and mounting the solargizer to it. Sounds silly but i don't want to mount the...
So i was checking prices for the military solagizer for our gensets and boy are they expensive. I did find some affordable ones on ebay but don't know which i should be looking for or which are made in china knock offs vs the originals.
Anyone have a suggestion please ? Thanks !
