This was one of my next things on my list. Exactly which connector does the MTV use for diagnostic port (6-pin, 9-pin Deutsch)? Is there any special attribute that a code reader has to have to work with MTV or do they all work with right connector?
Thanks
Greetings-
I'd like to compile/share a list of trucking/transport companies that SS members have had excellent experiences with shipping their MV's. We're planning on purchasing several and would like feedback from the experts.
Thanks!
Dave
I found this video: http://ronsen.us/2ckwnto - so getting the one-piece off of the wheel is not the issue - getting it out of the tire is? Is the bolt-together type a later generation (presumably due to these issues)?
Hopefully some of you can enlighten me (even more)...I've read a lot here about specific application of beadlocks and run-flats, how to install, etc., but I have not satisfied my lack of understanding as to when SS members choose to use or not use either. Assuming I purchase wheels with or...
I forgot to mention - I don't have them (or access to them) to check physically - getting ready to potentially buy them but seller says they're steel - I'm thinking otherwise
Thanks
Greetings-
Can anyone tell me, definitively, if these are steel or aluminum FMTV wheels?
(Yes, I can see rust on lug nuts - that does not mean steel wheels).
THANK YOU!
I'm planning on doing the high speed gear swap soon...THANK YOU ALL for sharing your experiences, part numbers, process, etc. - I love this place. I've researched all input extensively and feel very comfortable about the project. However, I had one reservation...tire speed rating. I've...
Thanks NDT - that was the thread...now for a potentially stupid question...do lug nuts on one side of MTV tighten counter-clockwise (do I need 30L/30R nuts)?
thx
I just purchased a set of aluminum wheels for MTV at auction. I read somewhere that I'll need new lug nuts but can't find the thread. Can someone please provide a part number (NAPA or similar) for aluminum wheel lug nuts?
Thanks!
Gents-
A few years ago my company used to install very high quality German 24VDC rooftop A/C units (on specialty trucks buses) and we had very good luck with them (the units and manufacturer support). Installation is super quick and easy...basically, cut hole, mount unit and seal, run 2 wires...
coachgeo-
Sorry if my question seems naive - I'm not a "diff guy"...
Is your post offering that a swap of these three parts is all that's needed for 3.07 change (as opposed to needing entire gear set part)?
Thanks in advance for explaining - I'm looking to upgrade to 3.07 on M1088
Hey there-
Maybe I've not been looking in the right places, but I wasn't able to find a complete list of all TM's that was searchable, or a single, truly complete source of all manuals...So I created them.
Here: http://ronsen.us/2c4NnRj is a link to:
1. A searchable spreadsheet with all TM's...
Wes-
This is awesome. Do you want to make it available to edit so other uses here can contribute? Would love to have a complete list. Do you have brake pads by any chance?
Thank you!
I have an m1088 heading up to bzn in the next 4 weeks or so for refurbishment. High speed gears will arrive at about same time. Maybe a Pipestone trip is in order. Pm me for details... Cheers!
