    M37 fuel filter upgrade

My 1942 WC52 has that same sat up done by the Norwegians during one of it's rebuilds. The truck is still 6 volt, and very original except for the fuel filter. I thought about it, and like you, I still have the modern one on the truck. ...and like you it is still white. One of the few, Frank USMC RET

What have you done to your JEEP today

Sand blasted the racks that hold the 106MM shells in the back of the jeep. After chow, I plan on putting primer on them, tomorrow they get paint. This winter the M38A1 jeep in the barn, will become a M38A1C. The M38A1C is a M38A1 jeep with a 106 recoilless rifle on it. One of the few, Frank USMC RET

original vs. restored, how are they valued?

Me and a very close friend found a M37, that was the 11th one made in the first month of production. This truck was a 100%, survivor. the only thing the fire department did to it was paint it. No extra holes for a pump, they did not remove the tailgate, and are you ready, it even still had all...

I have all the parts to build the M38A1C, to include a nice 106 recoilless rifle here. The jeep I am using does not...

WWII North Africa Campaign - Correct Desert Tan Color for WC54 Ambulance

Sid Also, if you paint it tan, and some "expert" comes up and tells you that shipping vehicles from North Africa to another front did not happen. It was also done on the Alaskan highway. I have read were used trucks came in from North Africa to help with the construction and maintenance of the...

My smallest MV yet! 1953 M38A1

Mac First, nice jeep to start with! I have three M38A1s down here on the coast of North Carolina, I am building a M38A1C out of one, and the other two are for parts at this time. Stop in if you ever make a run to the coast. Second, change the M38 USMC to a M38A1 USMC on your list of vehicles...

    Portrayal Press: Jeep Publications

Steve He had better be a nice guy, he has some very big shoes to fill. Dennis, the old owner of Portrayal Press was a great guy. I have a book shelve full of his books I used to buy back in the 1980s while I was stationed in New Jersey. Most of the books I bought from him are now out of print...

WWII North Africa Campaign - Correct Desert Tan Color for WC54 Ambulance

Sid I would just pick a tan you like and paint the WC54 that color. There are several factors to think about. 1.The color would not have been a factory hand picked perfect color, it would have been, "any one got any tan paint we can use to paint our trucks with?" color. 2. Over 25 years ago, I...

Upside down "C" welded on the bottom of the deuce bed

Gimpyrob is correct on the answer. A bracket is pinned to the top of the spring pack and it goes into the "upside down C". On the end of the bracket is a loop and the sling is attached to that bracket. The brackets are hard to find on the loose and when found, most of the time they are scrapped...

NDT is pointing out a great point. I just sold a very rare and complete wooden WWII trailer to a guy. He used the uship bidder.
